Night Drive

Jieun's POV

"It's pretty late. Do you usually walk home this late?" Chanyeol asked once we were walking towards the stores double doors.

"Um sometimes" I say before pushing some of my hair behind my ear.

"Really?" He asked surprised. And I nodded.

"That Joohyuk guy never walks you home?" He asked totally catching me off guard. Where did Joohyuk come from?

Should I tell him the truth? Joohyuk never walks me home. Like ever. He says he wouldn't be caught dead on the side of town that I live on.

Isn't he the best?(sense the sarcasm)

"S-sometimes" I say looking elsewhere. Before finally gathering the strength to look back at his unconvincing eyes.

"Are we leaving?" Baekhyun asked walking up to Chanyeol and I.

"Ne" Chanyeol responds still not taking his eyes off of me. And I shuffled uncomfortably. I've had enough time to notice that he trys to stare the truth out of me.

Nice try, but it won't work this time.

"Let's go. I'm tired" Suzy says walking up as well. And waiting until the automatic doors allowed us to proceed outside.

"Goodnight Jieun. Sleep well....oh and you too Suzy....I guess. I don't think gremlins get much rest though. Sucks to be you" Baekhyun says before he turns to walk away. And Suzy rolled her eyes.

"He better be glad I'm too tired to argue back. Because otherwise, he would hanging from the flagpole" She sneers. Rubbing her eyes profusely.

I gave her a caring smile. Before turning to Chanyeol. But I didn't get the chance to wish him a good night. When he spoke.

"Yah Baekhyun. Hold up" he says looking behind at him.

"What?"

"Would you guys like a ride home?" He asked looking between the two of us.

"Hell yeah!" Suzy says. And I smack her arm.

"Oh ani Chanyeol. We're okay. You don't have to" I say denying his unnecessary niceness. He sure is making it hard not to like him.

"I'm not taking no for an answer. I don't feel comfortable with you walking home. Kaja" he says reaching to grab my arm.

And my heart wanted to beat out of my chest. As he led me to the nice midnight blue car.

"Yah! What is....she...doing here?" Baekhyun asked pointing at Suzy.

"Baek we're driving them home" Chanyeol says and Baekhyun smiles to me. Before darting his eyes back to Suzy.

"Will you stop staring at me with your stop sign shaped head. And get in the car. I'm ready to go home" Suzy says before opening the door and getting in the backseat.

While he stood astonished.

"You started it. Just get in the car" Chanyeol said.

"With her?! I'd rather be run over first"

"We can arrange that!" She yells.

"You know what else we can arrange. You walking home by yourself!" He yells back, reluctantly getting into the backseat.

Chanyeol opened the door for me. And I just stared at him in disbelief. While he gestures for me to sit.

I've never had anybody open a car door for me before. What is this sorcery?
