Andy's POV
We pack the bags in the trunk and get inside the van. I hold Ruby's hand as we drive off. We were all going on a road trip to go to Seattle and Alyss wedding. We would've gone on a plane, but the girls thought that this was going to be more fun.
"How many hours is it to get there?" I sigh.
"About 8." Beth answers from the front seat. "So get comfortable."
I lay my head on Ruby's shoulder sighing dramatically. "It's okay Andy. This will be fun." Ruby says encouragingly, stroking my hair.
I look up at her and smile kissing her lips. "Good thing I have you." She blushes, looking down at our linked hands. I loved it when I made her blush. She looked so cute when she was blushing. I smile and stare out the window.
Melanie puts on some music and we all start singing along loudly. We all laugh when each song finishes. After a while of singing we all get hungry and stop to put gas and eat something before heading back on the road. "What do you want to eat, babe?" Roger asks Stella.
"I'm not going to choose." She says shaking her head.
"I want Hawaiian pizza." Melanie says.
"That actually sounds good right now." Timmy agrees.
"So pizza? Because we don't all like Hawaiian like you too." Beth says.
"Pizza it is!" Jimmy says excitedly.
We order a few pizzas and get back on the road. After a few hours of eating and loud singing everyone starts getting sleepy. Melanie and Jimmy trade seats. Melanie lays on Timmy's lap as she doses off to sleep. He strokes her hair until he falls asleep too. Roger falls asleep on Stella's shoulder as she watches videos on her phone. She eventually falls asleep too. I put my arm around Ruby and we get comfortable enough to fall asleep. I start dosing off after I know she's asleep.
"Baby. Wake up." I hear Ruby say shaking me. "We had to stop to get gas. Do you need to go to the bathroom or anything?"
I rub my face. "Umm no I'm good." I say sitting up.
"Well I have to go." She says as she gets up and follows the girls outside as Jimmy fills up the tank. "How many more hours?" I yawn.
"Like 2." Roger says looking at his watch.
"It's already dark outside?" I say confused. "What time is it?"
"8." Timmy answers.
"Shit. Are they even going to be awake when we get there?" I ask.
"Who sleeps at 10 anymore?" Timmy says.
"True, but you know they are pretty weird. They like sleeping early." I say.
"I think Melanie already called Alyss." Timmy says.
"Aren't we going to stay in a hotel?" Roger asks.
"Yes, but Alyss wants us to save some money by letting the girls sleep at their place. Which means we only need one room." Timmy explains as Jimmy sits down in the front seat.
The girls walk out of the store holding bags of goodies. Ruby sits down next to me and hands me a Dr.Pepper. I smile she knew me too well. We both liked the same things. "Thanks, baby." I say kissing her cheek.
"I got us some chips and candy to share." She smiles. "What do you want first salty or sweet?"
"Definitely sugar." I smirk getting closer. I start kissing her until I feel someone smack my arm.
"Damn it, Andy. I'm trying to eat here." Stella says next to me. I laugh and pull away.
"Anyone need to go to the bathroom? This will be our last stop until we get there." Beth says sitting in front of us now. We look at each other as Timmy starts the car.
"I think we're good." Jimmy nods next to her.
Timmy drives off as Beth lays down on the seat in front of us. She lays her head on Jimmy's lap as he strokes her hair. After a while she gets uncomfortable and makes Jimmy lay down on the seat and she lays down on him, placing her head on his chest as he holds her close. They both fall asleep as Ruby and I watch a movie on her phone. We start getting bored and Ruby starts throwing food at me to see if I can catch it. I miss a couple, but when I catch one we both look at each other excitedly. Before we know it we start laughing and cheering loudly forgetting about the sleeping people. Ruby notices Beth move and her eyes go wide. I cover my mouth as we both start laughing. Melanie looks over at us and places her index finger to her lips. We both nod slowly, still laughing silently. "Maybe we should go back to the movie." Ruby whispers.
"Yea. I think that would be for the best." I whisper back.
We finish the movie and notice Timmy exiting the freeway. We must be close. After a few minutes, Timmy parks outside an apartment building. Everyone wakes up and stretches. "How did you get in?" Beth asks.
"Someone came out and I went in." Timmy shrugs.
"Cool." Beth says opening the door and getting off. "I'm going to go knock. Girls get your stuff ready." She says looking at Ruby and Stella.
Jimmy goes with Beth as we all start getting off.
I walk with Ruby to the trunk and help her with her bag. Beth and Jimmy walk back with Seattle. He greets us as we follow him back to the apartment. We see Alyss at the door smiling widely. "I missed you guys so much." She smiles hugging Ruby and Stella. "Even you Andrew." She laughs hugging me.
"Hey you'll have me for a week." I smile hugging her back. "So enjoy it."
We all walk in and sit down and catch up with Alyss and Seattle. Timmy notices its getting late, so all the guys start getting up. Seattle grabs a bag. He was going to stay with us, so all the girls could stay together. He gives Alyss a quick kiss before leaving. "I'll see you tomorrow." Ruby says kissing my cheek.
"I'm going to need more than that to help me survive until tomorrow." I smile, bringing her closer.
