Smooth Sailing

The Sight

Adrien POV

I was in a deep slumber when I was rudely awakened. "Cap. Captain. come quick!" Said a voice as I was shaken awake. "What is it?" I said. "Um we have a little bit of a situation." Said my first mate, Plagg. Plagg was my friend, but more of an annoying uncle that had a life changing obsession with cheese. Particularly Camembert. "What is that supposed to mean?" I questioned.  "Just come and look for your self." Said Plagg. Plagg had bright green eyes and a mop of black hair on the top of hishead. He was quite a bit older than me and shorter. He was also plump around the edges and had a 5'oclock shadow.

I grabbed my coat and went to the top deck of my ship, Chat Noir.
"What we got Nino?" I asked the sailor. Nino was like a brother to me. I knew him forever and he has been on my crew for as long as I can remember. He was also in charge of the Nets and the navigator for our ship and 3rd in command for the vessel. "Looks like we got a wiggler cap." Said Nino. "We haven't gotten one ever."

And that's when I saw it. It's had a long tail that had red scales and occasional black ones. Her chest was covered with black and red scales that started from her mid back and spread around her under arms and covered her chest. (A/n: it what on the cover picture)
Her hair was down and laid around her shoulders. It was jet black, almost blue.

Then her eyes. They where blue, but not just blue. They were like the heavens and seas below battling in her very eyes.

She was a mermaid.

She wiggled around in the net try to get out. She was trying to cut open the net. They lowered her onto the deck. She was still tangled up. "Bring the case. Put her in it. Nino set a course for the Mansion. We are bringing her to Hawkmoth." I yell. The crew scrambled around following my orders. The Mansion is Hawkmoth's head quarters. it's  where he keeps all his 'treasures'. Hawkmoth is feared all over the globe. He is very powerful man and legends says he can control people and make they join him effortlessly.

"Cap are you sure you wasn't to go the Mansion?" Those are dangerous waters!" Said Nino. "I'm sure

Hawkmoth would pay a hefty price if he got his hands on a mermaid. We need the money,  the crew is running low on food and we rather not steal and get in to the ways of the the authorities.

With that the crew brought the case from below deck. It was more of a cage. It had many metal bars and glass surrounded the sides but not the top and bottom. They cut open the net and threw her inside. She immediately grabbed the bars of the case and hissed at us. I noticed something on her wrist. I grabbed her hand before she could retract it. Below her thumb on the inside of her wrist was a small marking. It was a simple circle that was colored red with 5 black dot and a line down the center of it.
My eyes widened. "Well I'll be damned. Your a miraculous mermaid." She retracted her hand and huddle in the corner. Now Hawkmoth would take anything to get this slimy creature. "Why do you care?" She sneered. "So the purrincess does speak." I laughed

"Was that a pun?" She questioned. "Deary your on a ship called the Chat Noir. You may hear a few puns." I replied winking at her. She gave me a disgusted look. "And I am no Princess." She said.

"Well you are about to make us as rich as one." And with that I walk below deck.

A/N: Yaaaaaaay! First chapter done! I hope you like it and I will try to update soon. I'm writing two books as once so it will be a little hard but I'm alwaysn up for a challenge! The next chapter will hopefully be longer.
