I Don't Know

Adrien's POV

What! they know everything!? Knowing Hawkmoth, they will not stop until they find her. And they know what she looks like. Not to mention it will put Plagg, Nino, Alya and the crew all in danger! I looked down to see Marinette silently sobbing in my arms. I put on a sad smile. "Hey Mari don't cry. We will figure this out. I promise. Everything will be just fine. You will be safe, I swear it" I said. She stopped crying but tears still lined her eyes. She looked up at me. Her tears sparkled in the moonlight. "Thank you Adrien. For everything." She smiled. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back into my chest. After a few minutes her breathing slowed and she was asleep. That was good for her. She needed her rest. She was probably stressed out of her mind and still a little shaken from previous event that night.

I made my way onto the top deck of my ship. Most of the crew was already asleep "Aye, what happened to Marinette?" Asked Plagg. I looked down at her, "she fell asleep on the way here." He nodded. "I'm going to take her to her room. Alya if you will follow me, I can show you to your room." She nodded and followed behind me. "So Adrien, captain of a ship huh" she asked. "Yep I live the life." He replied. "So how did you and Marinette get to know eachother? You know with her being a mermaid and all?" She asked. "Long story." I replied. "I got time."
"Look it's getting late okay Alya. I'll tell you another time." I opened the door the Marinette's room and set her down on the rickety bed. I got out a cot for Alya to sleep on. "Here you can share a room with Mari and keep and eye on her." I said. Alya nodded. "Wait Adrien, before you leave, you seemed really really upset about what happened to Marinette," "Well we all were, whereby we?" I replied. "But it was different, you seemed different. You don't have feelings for Mari, do you?" She asked with a slight smirk on her face.

I looked over at the peaceful sleeping mermaid. Well did I have feelings for Marinette? I mean we became closer recently but I didn't like her like that. Did I?

No I didn't

"She helped me out with some financial issues. We are just friends." I replied
"A mermaid helped you out with financial issues?" Questioned Alya. "That is one story I cannot wait to hear!" Squealed Alya. I rolled my eyes. "Now try to be quiet, you will wake Marinette." I said in a whisper yell. "Oh so the Captain does care." She said. "Whatever. Go to bed." I said while shutting the door.

I waked back up to the top deck. To see Nino and Plagg talking. "Nino you got one hell of a girlfriend. She questions people like a reporter!" I said. "Well she did say she wanted to be one, one day. But what is that supposed to mean!?!?" Yelled Nino. "She is not my girlfriend!" "Um hm. Keep telling your self that." I replied. Plagg chuckled. Nino just rolled his eyes. "Come on men it's time to turn in for the night." I said patting them on the shoulder.

I made my way to the captain quarters. I didn't know how I felt about Marinette but seeing her like that broke me. I didn't know what to do with my self. I felt so useless because I couldn't help. Marinette was strong and that's what made her beautiful, but she also had a heart and she would tell me 'you did everything you could.' But I know I didn't. I don't know if Hawkmoth would go after her after I kind of broke our deal saying she could go home free. I needed her to be by me so I could protect her. But in reality she need to go back to her home she would be safer there. I don't know if keeping he with me was helping her or helping me. But now I knew the answer I needed to let her go.

The next morning we where graced by Chloe's presence. Hint the sarcasm.

She ran onto the top deck. "Oh Adrikins! I'm so glad you're okay! I was so worried about you! I heard you beat up some bad guys!" She squealed. I pried her off of me. "Shouldn't you be worried about someone else too?" I asked. "Who?" She replied. "Marinette." I said with a frown on my face. "She saved you life. You should be thanking her and seeing if she is okay." I said. "Oh yeah. Her. I'm sure she I fine. But if a single scratch got on my Adrihoney I don't know what I would do with my self." Said Chloe. Something inside me snapped right then and there, "look Chloe. Marinette saved your life. Now she is in her room trying to breath. When we found her she was all beaten and bruised. She can't even stand. When we found her, the first thing she had on her mind was to make sure that you were okay. Just be happy you are not in Marinette's condition." I yelled. "Well Adrien, seems to me that you care more about this Maritrash than you do me?" Said Chloe. What the hell! The nerve of this girl! "You know what?! Maybe I do! She has a heart of gold and is more beautiful than you on the inside and out! So if your not going to apologize to Marinette than you have no right to be here. So get off my ship!" I yelled. Chloe looked at me with shock in her face. "Hm" was all she said. She gave me the cold should and sashayed off my ship. Thank god. "Nino! Hoist the anchor! We are getting out of here." I shouted. Hopefully Alya would be okay with leaving with us. I know Nino would.
