Marinette's POV

"We've arrived. Take them out of those cases before they actually die. We still need them as bate." Says a cold voice. Hawkmoth. Volpina unties Tikki and my wrists. I sink into the case trying to get my whole body to feel the waters moisture. My wrists burn from the salty water. Volpina kicks the glass case filled with water and me and Tikki flop out. "Ugh." The water pours out, making the wooden deck wet and slippery. Now that I was completely in air I could transform. And now that I was not halfway in water and half in air I felt 100 times better. Because after all the way we were tied up is the most painful and torturing way for a mermaid to die.

"Transform me!" I said. My body was engulfed into a pink light. Once it dissipated, I looked down to see that I had my legs once again. Along with my human clothes and leather corset. I tried to stand up but I fell back to the deck. I was so weak. I heard a laugh. "How pathetic. You can't even stand up. Makes my job easier." Said Volpina. She stomped her foot on my back making my head hit the floor. I whimpered in pain. She grabbed my wrists and put cuffs on me. She did the same to Tikki.

An akuma came down from the top deck and hoisted Tikki up over his shoulder. Tikki showed no protest. She too was weak. Volpina pinned my arms behind my back and pulled me to my shaking feet. "You better walk. I'm not carrying a fat ass like you." She said with venom in her voice. "Don't tough me bitch." I replied back. "Wow that's a lot coming from someone who can't even stand." she laughed

With some trouble, and lot of energy coming from me, we finally made it to the top deck. "Bring them off the ship, and get them on the rock." Shouted Hawkmoth. "Captain Adrien should be here any minute." He said toward me. "Now Volpina! If you will." No! Don't come Adrien! Turn back.

Adrien's POV

We were less than 5 minutes away. I was ready to get Marinette back, along with Tikki. Overall, the crew was mostly quite these last few days. Especially Plagg. They didn't laugh as much and never sang. They just went to work. But we all had a silent agreement. We would all get Marinette back no matter the cost and that we all hated Hawkmoth.

I walked over to Plagg, "I want you to come with me when we speak to Hawkmoth. I already asked Nino and he will be coming too. Alya is also coming along. She was very persistent about it. The crew will also come off the ship but will stay back just in case a fight breaks out. But we don't want Hawkmoth to get the idea that we want one. We just want Marinette and Tikki back." I said. Plagg nodded, "that's a good plan Captain. I will negotiate with Hawkmoth with you." Said Plagg and I nodded. "Adrien. I need to have a word with you." Said Plagg. I was a little confused by his statement but stayed firm. "You have my attention." I replied.

"Adrien you are not what you think you are." He started. "And what do you mean by that?" I asked. "Well you see, long ag-" he started again."Captain! We have arrived!" Nino shouted and he barged into our conversation. "Save it for later. We have business to attend too." I said.

We walked out of the dinning hall and up to the top deck. Nino was right. We were definitely here. We were anchored to the rock. And I could see the purplish black, tattered sails of Hawkmoth's ship. In the distance. On our ship we had food, treasure and weapons for trade and negotiation with Hawkmoth. We also had magical spell books for trading. I was willing to give up anything.

My crew and I walked off our ship and onto the cold hard ground of Charm Rock. For the name, it want very charming. Gray clouds danced in the sky and a cool breeze blew to the east. Plagg, Alya, Nino, and I stepped forward from the rest of my crew. A few other of my men pulled all the trading items off of the Chat Noir. I looked forward and for the first time in what seemed like forever, I saw Marinette. She was in her human form with her head looking toward the rocky ground and he arms bound behind her back. Next to her was Tikki, in the same position, except she was sitting on her tail, not a pair of legs. Marinette looked up and our eyes met. She had a look of guilt

"Well, well, well look who decided to show up." Said a voice pulling me out of my trance. It was Hawkmoth. And beside him was a girl, who loved the color orange a little to much.

"You bastard! We had a deal!" I yelled to him. We where a good distance apart and all his Akumas accompanied him, just like my crew accompanied me. "I never really was good with following my so called promises. Or in your case, a deal." He replied. "We paid you!" I screamed back. "It was simple a donation, which I should be thanking you for." He smiled back. "Look. We don't want to cause any more trouble. We just want Marinette and Tikki back. Just hand them over and we will give you something in return." I said gesturing to the treasure and spell books. "I don't want your money or food! I want something more valuable! Something you don't even know you have!" Said Hawkmoth.

At this point I was beyond confused. What the hell was he talking about? "And what might that be?" I asked intrigued. "That pretty little ring of yours." Hawkmoth replied with a sparkle in his eye. I looked down at my hand. I did have a ring. It was simple and silver and looked to be almost worthless. The only reason I kept it was because it was a gift from Plagg. "Plagg knows what I'm talking about. He knows the whole story." Said Hawkmoth. I turned to my right toward Plagg. "What is he talking about?" I asked him. "Adrien whatever you must do, do not give him that ring. It holds more power then that man can control." He said still looking straight forward.

"Sorry. but it's not for grabs Hawkmoth." I said to him. "Well I guess I will just have to get it my self!" He screamed with rage. All his Akumas charged toward us, screaming battle cries. "Come on men!" I screamed and we followed in Hawkmoth's foot steps.

It was an all out fight. Everything was on the line. Hawkmoth came straight for me. I held my sword and fought with all my strength. He was a worthy opponent and very skilled. I looked around everyone was holding their own. Even Alya with her new swordsmen skills.
"You don't know what you have boy." Hawkmoth whispered. I continued fighting ignoring his statement. Was he talking about the ring? "It holds the power of destruction! It's a miraculous object and that means you are a miraculous human." He said. I was speechless. It doesn't make any sense. Was that what Plagg was trying to tell me!? I was lost in thought and Hawkmoth took the opportunity his blade made contact with my arm. I screamed in agony but this fight was no where near over.

Now I was pissed off. "I don't know what I am! And I don't care!" I said while fighting, " I am Adrien Agreste Captain of the Chat Noir and I am not giving you my ring!" The tables turned and now I controlled the fight. Hawkmoth was nearly to the ground when I heard an ear ringing scream. It was a pure scream of pain.

I turned my head to the noice. The scream came from Marinette. She had a long deep gash along her arm. It it was bleeding badly. It was put there by the orange clothed woman. The fighting had stopped. There was no more noise of clashing swords. Every one was standing still. The Akumas took this opportunity and pounced on my men. Alya was in the grasp of a large Akuma and Nino was yelling at him to let go of her. Even though he was captured too. Plagg was in the same situation as Nino and Alya.

Two large Akumas pounced on me and I was held by there filthy arms. My hands where behind my back and my knees where on the ground of Charm Rock. "Looks like you lost Captain." Said Hawkmoth looking down at me. "Volpina!" Shouted Hawkmoth giving her a nod. She nodded back at his signal.

Everything went in slow motion. Volpina pulled out a small knife and held it to Marinette's throat. Volpina looked up and winked at me. I looked to Marinette and tears streaked her cheeks. She mouthed the words....

I'm sorry

Volpina slid the knife across Marinette's throat. A bloody streak followed where the knife drew. Volpina let go of her head standing up. Marinette fell to the hard, cold ground like a lifeless rag doll. Everything was still and quiet. The only thing that made a sound was the wind blowing through the ships's sails and the ocean crashing against the near by cliffs. I was speechless and I couldn't form words. Alya was just staring along with Nino. Tears even brimmed his eyes. I finally found my voice...

"MARINETTE!!!"
