Raise the Anchor

Marinette's POV

"Did it work?" Asked Alya in a shaky voice, now in Nino's arms. Did it work? I looked down at Adrien's face searching for any possible sign that it had done something. Even in the slightest. But no. It didn't work. I didn't have enough power. I lost him. I lost the one I love.

Tears came crashing down from my face. The sky above matched the mood. The clouds where grey and gloomy wanting to spill the rain the layer inside them. I'm sure everyone else's faces where just as sad as mine but I couldn't bring my self to look at them. I had failed them along with my self. All I did was lay my forehead on Adrien's and ball my eyes out.

I heard a few sniffles behind me. Probably Tikki and Alya. Adrien was their friend too.

"Marinette! Look!" Said Plagg's voice. I slowly brought my head up and looked at Adrien's battered stomach. Where the poisonous gash was, pink light emitted from it. My teary eyes were wide. Pink magic spread from the gash to the rest of his body. The magic seemed to be in his veins creating lines all over his body. The gash in his stomach was closing! I quickly looked to his face for any sigh of life. Maybe the spell did work.

Adrien let out a sigh and then a grimace probably from pain. His eyes lids slowly fluttered open. "...Marinette" he said in a soft whisper.

"Adrien! You're alive!" I said giving him a bone crushing hug. He gladly returned it. "What? you thought I died? Don't you know us cats have nine lives?" He smirked. "Oh shut up." I said with a giggle, giving him a kiss on the lips. I could feel the heat radiating off his cute face. "Marinette? Y-you kissed me." He said dumbfounded. "At a loss of words kitty?" I replied. "I guess so." He smirked kissing me again. But this time it was a real kiss, nothing crazy, nor nothing to light. But a perfect kiss that shared all the pain, love and sacrifice that we had felt together. His soft lips where on mine and it felt amazing.

A cough was heard behind us "ahhem". We broke our kiss. I helped Adrien to his feet. His weight leaning on me a little. "Hey guys." He said. Everyone came rushing to him. Giving him hugs. I was surprised, Nino was very emotional ranting about what he wouldn't be able to do if his best friend was gone. Plagg gave him a huge hug and Tikki kiss Adrien on the cheek.

"So...my father nearly killed me huh?" Said Adrien looking over at the unconscious man laying a few feet away from us. I nodded my head and mumbled a yes. The man started to stir. "Why hello Adrien. My dear son." Said Gabriel Agreste. Adrien started to walk over to him, but I held him closer in protest. "I can handle it Marinette." I nodded and let him go. He walked closer to his father. He bent down so he was looking straight into his grey eyes. "You are despicable father. And a horrible one at that." He said. He walked back to me and I helped him support his weight.

Everything was slowly going back to normal. We disembarked Hawkmoth's horrid ship and back onto Charm Rock. Adrien's Crew ran to him and shouted words of victory. We had won. And victory was sweet. We boarded the Chat Noir and Adrien ordered some of his men to go gather his severely injured father.

Adrien's POV

Marinette. The girl I loved. Had saved my life. And now I was with her and I wasn't going to let her get away that easily ever again. My father was now below deck on my ship imprisoned behind bars. The crew was on the top deck drinking to victory. "Raise the anchor men! Let's get out of here!" I said. I looked down at Marinette and gave her a toothy grin. "I love you m'lady." I said "I love you too kitty."
We were finally together. Everyone was. Nino, Alya, Plagg, and Tikki and the crew. We were one big happy family. We started to pull away from Charm Rock. All that was left was the gloomy sky, the jagged rocks that were black as night, and anchored to those rocks was the mysterious yet evil ship that Hawkmoth called his.
