Chapter 4

Sundance's POV

I finally got to bed after the show and it was now the morning. It is Saturday so I don't have school so I didn't have to set my alarm. I walked downstairs and Lin was down there making breakfast. He gave a plate of food and I ate 2 bites then decided I was done.

He looked at me and told me to eat more but I told him that I was full and didn't wanted anymore. He looked at me with worry in his eyes. I took Sebastian over to the couch and we started to watch Chuggington as Lin but the plates away.

It has been about 2 hours since we started watching TV so I decided to get in the shower and get ready for the day. I told Lin I was hanging out with Hope today and walked out the door. I took the subway to her house and then we walked to the mall. I didn't have much money because it was my money and I didn't want to take any from Lin.

We got cupcakes and sat down and talked about everything that has happened since the day I started living with Lin. I told her that it probably wouldn't last long but I would try. I gave her the rest of my cupcake and told her I had to go home and that I would be at school on Monday. I took the subway back to Lin's house and walked and went to my room and went to bed.

I woke up two hours later and Lin told me I was going to the theater with him today. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. I was finally going to meet the cast. We got into Lin's car and started driving to the theater. I was getting more and more nervous as we were getting closer and closer. We finally got there and walked in.

"Everyone this is Sundance." Lin introduced me to everyone.

"That is such a pretty name." I heard from the crowd of people.

"She looks scared." I heard someone else say.

"Lin, is she ok." Someone asked as I started hyperventilating. Before even thinking I ran off and started running up stairs. I opened a door and walked out onto a roof. I sat in the corner and started crying as I was trying to calm down. I had my head in my chest when I heard.

"Hija, are you okay?" I looked up and saw Lin standing there with some man. I started freaking out a little more. Lin bent down to my size and said,

"Hija, calm down please. Everything is going to be ok. Please just calm down and tell me what's wrong." I finally was able to calm down after a few minutes.

"There were to many people down there. They were all trying to talk and they were all looking at me and I thought that they were bombarding me and I needed to get out of there because I was scared and I didn't know what to do." I told then as I looked over his shoulder at the man standing behind him. I saw pity in his eyes and immediately looked back down.

"Oh. It will be ok. They are all nice and they would never do anything to you. This is Daveed by the way." He told me pointing to the man behind him.

I gave him a small wave and started to stand back up. We walked back down and Lin took me to his dressing room and told me he was going to bring a couple people for me to meet at a time. I agreed and within minutes he was gone to get people. He came back in with 3 girls.

"Hi. I am Phillipa Soo. You can call me Pippa. And I play Eliza Schuyler." The woman told me.

"Hi. I am Renee Elise Goldsberry. And I play Angelica Schuyler." The second woman told me.

"Hi. I am Jasmine Cephas Jones. And I play Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds." The last woman told me.

This went one until someone yelled 5 minutes. I met everyone. I met Anthony, Oak, Leslie, Chris, Jon, and many others. Lin told me he had to go back stage and so I sat there and played on my phone the whole time.

The show ended and Lin came back into his dressing room and I noticed a keyboard. I looked at Lin and asked him if I could play it. I sat at the stool and went over the chords in my head. I then started playing the piano and sang the song Lost Boy by Ruth. B. I turned around when I was done and saw Lin and half the cast standing there with the mouthes hanging open. I smiled at them awkwardly.

"That was amazing." Lin and Jon said at the same time.

"Ok. Thanks." I said not very confidently.

"It really was amazing. You should try out for a broadway show and see if you will get a role as a kid in a show." Anthony told me.

"Uh. Let me think about that. Ok I am done thinking. Never in a million years." I said to all of them.

"Oh, come on that was amazing." Pippa said to me.

"No thank you. Now Lin can we please leave. I am tired." I asked Lin. He nodded in response and we walked to his car. When I was getting in Lin's car I saw him.
