Sundance's POV
When I woke up I was back in my bed and Anthony was asleep on the ground next to me. I stepped over him and left my room. I hobbled down the steps and Lin was in the living room watching the news. I walked past him and grabbed a cup of coffee from the kitchen.
I went and sat next to him in the living room and he didn't say anything. Then he looked at me and I could tell something was wrong. I didn't know what but I knew that I was going to find out.
"There's something you need to know." Lin told me.
"What? You're scaring me. I'm going back into foster care, aren't I?" I said and put my head into my hands.
"No. Ok. So there is this man. He showed up at the house a few weeks ago and he was standing outside the building last night. He claims that he is your father and that the man who you say is your father is your step father." He told me.
"He isn't my father. And I don't care what he says. If he is my biological father I don't care. The man that was shot was my father and I don't care if I have his blood or not." I told him. "And Lin you and V are my parents now."
"I'm glad you think that because me and V want to adopt you." He looked at me.
I didn't even think about it before I pulled him into a hug and started crying. I was so happy and no one was going to take that away from me. I finally felt like I had a family again. I looked up at Lin and he was crying too. We pulled away from each other and we agreed that we should turn Rent on.
I cleaned my coffee mug while Lin was turning the movie on and made us some pancakes. I took the food into the living room and Anthony walked down the steps.
"How come crippled over here is the one catering to you?" He said to Lin as he sat on the arm of the couch.
Lin started laughing and I started to think of a way to get Anthony back. I noticed that there were a bunch of pillows and blankets on the ground behind Anthony so I went up to him and pushed him over the edge of the couch.
As soon as I did, I ran as fast as I could up the stairs and into my room. I locked the door and then locked the bathroom door and hid in my closet. I sunk down to the floor and heard footsteps shortly after.
I heard the door unlock and footsteps head for the bathroom. The bathroom door was unlocked and then I heard Anthony yell damn it. He left my room and walked down the hallway. I slowly crawled out of the closet and into the bathroom and shut the door.
I heard Anthony come back into my room and open the closet door. Then the door knob on the bathroom door jiggled and the door swung open. I was sitting behind the door which gave me a little coverage but not much.
Anthony saw me and picked me up. He put me over his shoulder and walked down the hallway and down the steps.
"Put me down." I yelled at him.
"Nope." He said as he continued to walk down the stairs.
"Lin! Help me." I yelled.
"Sorry honey, I'm feeding Sebastian." He told me.
"Seb. Help me. Anthony is taking me." I yelled for him.
Shortly after there was a very high pitched screech and I realized that it was Sebastian screaming. Anthony dropped me and I landed on my good foot. I ran to the table and sat in a chair next to Lin. I grabbed the back of Lin's chair so that if Anthony tried to pull my chair he would have to pull Lin's to.
Anthony walked over and sat across from me. Vanessa walked down the steps and was dressed in a suit so I assumed she had work. She grabbed an apple and then said she would be back in a couple hours.
I got up from my chair and walked into the living room. Anthony came in and sat next to me. I turned the TV on and Shrek was on. I left it on and laid down. Anthony put my feet on his lap and he grabbed a sharpie. He started to draw on my cast, but I didn't care.
"How's your leg?" He asked me.
"Fine. Can I come to the show tonight? I need to watch Renee because the school Hamilton performance is soon and my audition for the other one is soon too." I told him.
"I don't care, but you'll have to ask Lin." He told me.
"Lin, can I go to the show tonight please?" I asked him.
"If you get all your homework done then I don't care." He asked me.
"Anthony, will you go upstairs and get my backpack please?" I asked him.
He moved my legs and then got up. He walked up the stairs and came back down with my backpack. I sat up and pulled my laptop out. I pulled up my organizer for a paper I have to write and started to type my draft.
By the time I was done the movie was over, Sebastian had gone down for a nap, and Lin had joined us on the couch. Lin got up to make lunch and I put my stuff away. I cared my backpack up to my room and grabbed my book.
"Bring your crutches down." Lin yelled up the steps.
I grabbed my crutches and went back downstairs. I went to the table and sat down. I started to read and Lin set the table. He put all the sandwich materials out and I closed my book. He went and got Sebastian and we had lunch.
After lunch I read for a while and then Vanessa came home. Around 4 Lin, Anthony, and I left to go to the theater. We stopped at Anthony's so that he could get some clean clothes. We ordered pizza and then the rest of the cast showed up.
They all got ready and did their warm-up. They went over a couple songs and Lin gave me a ticket so that I could sit in the audience and watch the show. I watched them warm-up and then I went out the stage door so that I could walk in the front.
I went in through the front doors and had to use the elevator to get to my seat which was in the balcony. My seat was in the middle of the first row of the balcony. It was the perfect seat and I was so happy. I was reading through the program when I noticed the people next to me were showing up.
"Sundance?" I heard someone say. I lifted my head and saw that Dean was sitting next to me.
