Chapter 20

Sundance's POV

"Are you okay? Oh my god. Did I do something?" Drew, my brother asked concerned.

"I'm fine. My ankle just gives out sometimes." I told him. I got back up and walked on it to make the pain go away. I limped for a little bit, until I stopped back in front of Drew. Lin came back in with Anthony and Pippa and they said they were going to get food.

Me and Drew sat down on the stage and we talked about what we have been doing. He told me about college and his job. He said he had a girlfriend and he wanted me to come live with him.

"Drew, I need to tell you something. This man came up to me a few weeks ago and said that he was our father. He said that he caught mom sleeping with another man and so he left. He thought I was the man's child until mom contacted him and told him I was his. He then said he didn't have enough money to come see us until I was already in foster care. I don't know what to do and I don't really trust this guy." I told him really fast.

"Ok. So, that creepy guy who was married to mom wasn't our father, thank god. He was so mean to me and I protected you from him because he would always make fun of how small you were." He told me.

Lin, Anthony, and Pippa came back in with the food. They came and sat with us and we continued to talk about what was going on in our lives. Lin talked about the show while I just say quietly. I didn't eat again and no one noticed. Lin, Anthony, and Pippa had to get ready for the show so they left and me and Drew went upstairs to my room so we could talk.

"So, what has been happening at school?" He asked.

"Well, right now at school we are doing a musical. And the funny thing is that it's Hamilton. I got the role of Angelica. My best friend Hope is also in the musical. She is playing Peggy." I told him.

"That is really exciting. When is the performance?" He asked.

"In about a month. Why?"

"Because, I will come and see it. I will bring my girlfriend too."

After about an hour he said he had to go. I gave him a hug and then he left. I walked into Lin's dressing room and got an ice pack out of his freezer. I was about to leave when Groff walked in.

"What do you need an ice pack for?" He asked confused.

"Stuff." I replied and then started to walk out. He jumped in front of the door and wouldn't let me out.

"Seriously. What is it for? If you are hurt I can help you." He said as he scanned me.

"You really want to know?" I asked. He nodded his head. "Okay. You know that thing that girl's have every month and they get cramps and stuff? Yeah. That is what the ice pack is for." I said and then pushed him aside so I could get through.

I walked up to the room I had and then put the ice pack on my ankle. I locked the door so no one would catch me. I heard feet running up the steps and then banging on the door. I slide the ice pack under my bed and then opened the door.

"We need you to be Angelica. Renee just got sick." Lin said to me.

HELLO! Sorry it has been awhile. I have been really stressed out recently because my finals are coming up and my uncle in the hospital. I'm going to try to update again today because I have a lot of free time in my classes. Please vote, comment, and share. Also, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
