Chapter 24

Sundance's POV

After we dropped Hope off we went back to Lin's place. We walked in and Sebastian was watching TV. Of course he was watching Chuggington. When he saw us walk in and ran up to us and gave us hugs. I smiled at him then hobbled over to the couch and sat next to him.

After about 10 minutes I got a notification on my phone that Lin had posted something on Twitter. It was a picture of Me and Sebastian sitting on the couch together watching TV with a comment that said, "Look at how cute my kids are!" I liked the post and then turned my phone off. Sebastian started to doze off in my lap and so did I. We both fell asleep on the couch after about 20 minutes.

I woke up and Sebastian was still on my lap. I carefully moved him off of my lap and stood up. I walked into the kitchen and Lin was on in computer. I sat down next to him and he looked up at me then went back to staring at his computer.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Watching this video." He said without even looking up slightly from his computer.

"Who is in this video and why are you so engrossed in it?" I asked him.

"You." He said as I quickly ran over to watch. It was the video of me performing in my first play when I was little.

It was the summer before my parents passed and I was in the play Peter Pan. I played the youngest lost boy and I remember I didn't want to be onstage. I was so nervous because there were so many people in the audience. I continued to watch and the song Never Grow Up came on and I started to dance.

I started to walk away because it was so embarrassing when Lin told me that Anthony was coming over so I shouldn't disappear. I went up to my room and started to listen to music. I got the flash drive out that I found in my file. I put it into my computer and looked at all the files. There were pictures and videos from when I was really little.

I found pictures of me with my parents and pictures of me in my dance costumes. I never imagined that I would be able to see their faces again. I started to cry because I missed them so much.

I grabbed a sharpie and started to draw on my cast. I drew all kinds of things. I even drew the Schuyler sisters. I ended with a little ballerina that looked like a flower. After I was done Lin yelled that Anthony was here.  I walked down the steps and they were both staring at the computer and laughing.

"Oh my god! Your both watching that?" I asked them still standing on the last step.

"Yep. But it's so cute." Lin told me.

"Well, it's so embarrassing." I told him then walked back up to my room.

I locked the door and pulled my phone out. I started to watch TV when someone knocked on my door. I went over and opened it and Hope was there. She came in and we started to talk. She told me that there was going to be a school play and that it was going to be Heathers. I told her that we would audition together.
