Chapter 30

Sundance's POV

After getting home from the hospital I went to my room and laid down on my bed. I looked at my phone and saw that I had a text from Dean. I opened it and it said that he wanted to hang out with me again.

I closed my phone and closed my eyes and went to sleep. When I woke up I could smell something cooking and people talking downstairs. I opened my door and just listened to them.

"I just feel so bad for her. She must be so scared after what happened." I heard V say.

"She will be okay V. She is so strong and brave and I could never see her stop trying. She is such a strong girl and she has gone through so much and made it through no matter what." Lin told her.

"I know. But to see you parents dead and then the guy who did it show up. I can't imagine being that situation." She said.

"She's okay V. Those people are in jail and we won't let anyone get near her again. I talked to Renee and she agreed to come over during the day and help Sundance with her school work. I signed her up for an online school that she can do on her own time and if she needs help Renee will always be here for her. I talked to the cast and we all agreed that there would be someone with her at any moment and no matter what is going on. Whenever you are out and there is a show going on she will be at the theater with us and whoever isn't on stage will sit with her. I promise V that nothing will ever happen to her again and we will protect her no matter what." Lin told her.

I walked back into my room and sat down on my bed. I was so happy that I finally had people in my life who cared about me and would be there for me no matter what. I heard Sebastian crying so I went into his room and got him then walked downstairs.

"How are you feeling?" Lin asked me.

"I'm fine, really. You don't have to worry about me." I told them.

We all sat down at the table and had dinner. Lin explained to me about the school thing and I agreed. Even though I wouldn't be able to see Hope as much I was happy.

I thought to myself how happy I was to finally have a break and take time away. Things for me have been so rough and I'm just glad to have a chance to just cool down and get a break. I'm excited to start hanging with the cast more.
