Chapter 6

Sundance's POV

It is Monday morning and I have to go to therapy after the school today. I am really nervous. I got up took a quick shower, got dressed, and walked downstairs.

I grabbed an apple and told Lin I was ready to go. I walked into the school and everyone was staring at me. I stopped at my locker and got my things then went to home room.

Hope was waiting for me. I walked up to here and sat next to her. Our first period was musical theater.

"Good Morning class. Today we are starting a project. You all have to pick a character from Hamilton and sing a song that they sing. Then our musical this year is Hamilton. So begin and if I don't like the character you picked then I will change it." My teacher and I just sat there with my mouth hanging open.

"Who do you think I should be?" I leaned over and asked Hope.

"I have 3 in mind for you. Um either do Angelica and sing Satisfied. Do Eliza and sing Burn. Or do Maria Reynolds and sing Say No to This." She told me.

I thought about and decided I would think about it later at home. The bell ran and I walked to English class. I walked in and sat in my normal spot in the back.

"Is this seat taken?" I looked over and saw a very cute boy standing there.

"Um... No. Go ahead. Sit." I told him as he sat down.

"Hi. I am Dean."

"I'm Sundance."

"Your name is really pretty."

"Thanks." I said as I blushed.

The teacher walked in and we stopped talking and he did our lesson for the day. At the end of the class Dean leaned over and took a piece of my paper.

"Maybe we can hang sometime." He said handing me the piece of paper that had his number on it.

"Okay. Um... Are you doing anything this weekend?" He asked me.

"No." He responded simply.

"Okay. Well I will text you but I have to go." I told him. I stood up and gave him a small smile and wave. The rest of the day went by quickly.

I walked out of the building and got into Lin's car. He drove me to therapy and I got out of the car. He parked and I walked in. I got called back and they said they would tell Lin.

"Okay. Hi Mrs. Woods. I am Dr. Smith. I am your therapist. Okay let's start with a quick background." He said to me.

I just sat there because I was nervous and I didn't want to be there. I just kept sitting there saying nothing.

"Okay. Well you have to talk to me." He told me.

"I was." I said really quietly.

"What. I'm sorry. I didn't hear you." He said.

"Nothing." I responded quickly.

"No you said you were but you were just sitting there doing nothing. What do you mean that you were talking to me?" He asked me.

I just continued to sit there until he said that time was up and to go tell my dad to come in. I told Lin to go in and I waited in the waiting area.

Lin's POV

Sundance walked out and said the therapist needed to see me. I walked into where the therapist was sitting and he started to talk.

"Sundance didn't talk at all and when I told she needed to talk she just said she was and then was silent for the rest of the time. I don't know what is going on at the moment but I need to see her again so bring her back on Wednesday." He told me.

"Okay. Thank you." I told him and started to walk out. I was thinking about what he said and told Sundance it was time to go. We walked back to the car and drive back to the apartment for dinner with Sebastian and Vanessa.
