Chapter 29

Sundance's POV

The last thing I remembered was passing out on the floor in the theater. I don't know what happened to anyone and where I was. I opened my eyes and instantly saw white. I looked around and saw Lin laying on the couch.

I didn't want to wake him so I got my book off of the side table and started to read. The book was about this family who had 2 adopted kids and they were all con artists. They would move from town to town, changing their names, and we steal peoples money.

After about an hour Lin woke up. He saw that I was awake and came over and gave me a hug. He was so happy and he went out to tell everyone. I went back to reading my book when my phone began to ring. I grabbed it and it said it was from an unknown number.

"Hello?" I asked into the phone.

"Don't you ever think that I won't be coming for you. You are on the top of my list of people who I need to catch." He said through the phone.

I immediately hung up the phone and threw it across the room. Anthony came in as I threw my phone. He looked at me and I could see the concern in his eyes. He picked up my phone and sat it on the table before he walked over to me.

I turned away from him and closed my eyes. I eventually fell asleep. I woke up to him asleep on the couch and I was so glad that I finally had people in my life who care about me.

After a few days in he hospital I was able to go home. Lin told me I wouldn't be going to school for a while and that I would get to spend most of my time with him. I'm so glad that I finally get a break from school and some people.
