Sitting in the kitchen a monster made out of fire relax calmly at the table. Grillby leans back in his chair crossing, his leg as he holds his mug of steaming coffee. He looks out through the window letting out a sigh. Even so though without even knowing what's going on with his leg that is rhythmically drumming along without stopping. It's have been almost a week since that you have been asleep and is still asleep. Grillby started to be concern that you have been in a much worse condition than he thought you were. He decided to check on you if you're still stable enough for Alphys to check on you on time. He stood up from his chair and walked to the guestroom. He went upstairs almost up to the second floor just a few steps until there was a doorbell ringing downstairs. He abruptly stopped in his tracks when the doorbell rings.
He looked into his wristwatch seeing that it was close in the afternoon just only 15 minutes early than expected from what Alphys told him when she would be here. The doorbell kept ringing he hurried down to the door. When he opened, there she was looking up at him. But to his surprise, Toriel was also with her in a concerning look on her face. The once was a scientist, Alphys, stuttered out a greeting. "H-hi Grillby. U-um sorry to come in early on you unexpected. A-and um I bring Toriel along so she can give help that she o-offer."
He shook his head ensuring her. "Grillby I have heard from Alphys that you have found a patient that is injured. I can't help myself, but help." Toriel the used to be a queen of the underground explained. "It's okay. It's perfect for you to come the more help received, the better the patient gets."
Grillby hurried them in; they were now in the guest room where you slept. "G-grillby y-you really did find a runaway patient! B-but why run away?" Alphys said in shock. "Oh, poor thing. Alphys look at how skinny the patient and what terrible condition the patient is in." Toriel gives a pitying look at you. You look so exhausted as if you haven't even had a night of sleep for a few years by the bags under your eyes and was glancing at your bandaged feet.
Grillby then saw that Alphys was pulling out some rather advanced modern medical technology out of her big classic doctor's bag that he didn't even notice. Toriel also notices that too. Both were giving her a strange look on when and how did she get them in that bag.
(Don't ask this is just a fanfic and I don't even know if Alphys can do that, but that's just science y'all!)
"E-excuse me for the sudden m-material. I'm just going to take a blood sample and check the heart rate." The two monsters stand by while Alphys takes the blood flowing into the small container as it is filled she pulled up the portable vital monitor on top of the drawer beside your bed. She then gives you a checkup after the vitals monitor shows it's data it has received.
"O-ok," Alphys said turning to the two. "The patient is in good shape for now. Just need to be fed regularly and take lots of sleep to recover."
"Oh thank goodness that's good to hear, Alphys." Toriel let out a sigh of relief. Grillby was also relieved too. You were sleeping throughout the whole time this week without a sign of waking up causing him to worry if you're not going to wake up.
"Good news yes. But." They waited for whatever Alphys is about to say. "B-but Grillby are you ok to keep doing this? Not being at your job for extended periods of time. Cause this is going o be serious pressure you have to face. It might take weeks or even a few months for this patient to wake up."
Grillby knew about this and was about to argue back. "Look Grillby I know what you're going to say, but you can't just let a patient unattended for a few hours or even for a single minute. Who knows when to wake up and if so the patient will panic about being in an entirely different place without someone there to explain. And may fall or get hurt in any other way. Why not be taken cared at a different hospital?"
Grillby shook his head in disagreement to placing you to one. A different hospital will only try to contact the original where you ran from. But it's no used. He just stood quietly unable to win this argument. "Now now there must have been a reason to why running from the hospital. Grillby you can let me watch over the patient while you're gone. Oh, wait the patient can come to live in my house for the time being, so there's no trouble or harm for the patient to be alone." Toriel offered.
Grillby agreed to this thanking her. "Oh no, there's no need to thank me. It's my pleasure to help people especially the sick."
There was an agreement with the three monsters that Toriel will take watch over you in her home until you have awakened and fully recover. Toriel start to heal your feet while Alphys was getting the container prepared to test your blood in her lab that she has.
You let out a groan fill with pain that trails out of your lips. Too much stress on your muscles on an activity, you don't often do running. Your legs are sore crazy from running like hell for your escape and life along with your feet also sore and wounded. But you didn't wake up. Sleep is still in control at this time.
You turn your back at Alphys and Grillby. Your feet are now fully healed by Toriel's magic. Alphys makes her farewell and leaves. Toriel and Grillby discuss what time to take you to she house once she makes room for you to sleep in.
