You were in awe to see this man in a strange suit you have never seen. He looked at you in concern. Grillby sees that you are safe and yet baffled by his appearance, but not in a bad way which relieved him. You didn't speak a word for you're in a knot on the strings of feelings that came before you. Your face shows no signs of emotions after you relaxed. The shadows are gone. You looked around to see the others wide-eyed. You remembered what Torial and Frisk taught you when others made faces like theses by what you have done.

"Sorry."

You said it. The word to said that's all you only can do, but not understand the reason why it's necessary nor important. You don't know what the feelings of pity or guilt like nor the pain of others by your actions. Everything calmed down. But when Alphys asked if you want to continue the discussion, you said no coldly not wanting to have the shadows back again. Grillby introduced himself with his hand on his hand on his chest in a gentlemanly matter and asked you what's your name. You froze, stiff like a statue you looked away still blanked faced. He thought he did something wrong and apologized. You looked back at him confused on why he did that. Grillby starts to feel uneasy on how to begin a conversation with you.

You stare intently at the flames of the man made out of fire. Grillby is unsure whether if you're offended by him on the earlier question or just an entirely new thing to see in your life. You remembered that he had prevented you from catching on fire leaving you no pain or injuries. That action is helping or saving which meant you must thank them for that action. You're starting to understand which words or actions to use thanks to Toriel being a great teacher.

"Thank you for saving me from catching on fire." Your voice is very monotoned on your thankings, not the same as the example Toriel showed you. It'll do for the time being. Grillby for startled by your strange appreciation but smiled. The feeling of amazement starts to bloom, you have never seen such fire in your life and must be the most less pain giving fire you have met. You want to touch the flames, but you stopped your hand halfway raising to touch his face. Toriel told you not to touch people when you just have met them unless they want a handshake, but you don't know what a handshake is. Disappointment flooded on to you from touching the flames that are dancing so calmly.

Sans popped up his head on top of the couch in the space between you and Grillby and said, "Well look what we have here, it seems like you're really on fire 'lit'erally." Grillby starts to fume. You paused for a moment and looked at the anger fireman then at Sans who's smiling with sweat dripping on his skull and go back at Grillby and back at Sans again. You start to laugh hard Grillby anger stoped by your laughter; it was a genuine laugh without the insanity. You smiled and laughed until you fell on the floor rolling side to side uncontrollably. You actually got the joke, for Grillby is fire, and he is lit up, and it was priceless to you. You were too busy laughing to be questioning on what in the world you're feeling.

Toriel came to the living room to hear such an outburst she stares you on the floor. She covers her mouth giggling and turns to Sans on what happens to you. "Hey Tori, everything is going ok. The kid actually gets one of my jokes now. Cause you know what it's thanks to Grillby who is on fire." Grillby shot a glare at Sans. Toriel laughs at his joke while you laughed harder to hear that joke again.

Even so, Grillby is anger but is more rather embarrassing. He likes your laugh and was happy to see you enjoying your time, despite your broken mental state. You looked so emotionless a few minutes ago, but then now you're like a happy person having a great time. Tears were coming out of your eyes. Your stomach aches in soreness of your tensed muscles by all the laughing you spending time on. The others were already in the kitchen saw a mental patient laughing like an average person it was completely different in that they are all seeing.

After some time you finally have the control to talk. "It hurts" *snickers* "Why does it hurt?" You questioned. "It hurts so much make it stop. Please." You have no control as you begged someone to help you stop laughing. Frisk was the one who calmed you down along with Toriel telling to take deep breaths. Alphys took some notes down on your list of behavior she has seen.

"So then now that settles on the meet up my child would you like to live with Grillby or stay here? Whatever choice you like." Toriel asked you, who recovered from the laughing. You were surprised to be questioned on what you wanted. No one has ever asked that before. You only do what others want, following orders, being directed on what you should do. It was strange, but you feel really warm inside. The nerves you sense were sending electricity fluently in you. You want to feel that more. You said yes, you want to live with Grillby.

Sans was unsure about this after that conversation between you and him. "Hey, Toriel are you sure this is a good idea?" "Of course it is since he was the one to save them. We are just a small help for Grillby to recover them to better health." It was all settled you were helped packed up, and now you're walking to Grillby's car. You looked back at the front of the house. You saw Frisk waving at you and the others saying goodbye to you. Papyrus and Toriel asked you to come again. You will since you asked.

You waved back also signalling farewell. When people waves at you and says goodbye or farewell you respond back in the similar meaning. But then their eyes got wide in surprise to see you smiling. You didn't know you still have this warm feeling, and is unable to know what actions you may have done. But you liked the feeling. When you and Grillby droving off you still have that smile on you. He took at side glance to see your smile, he quickly turned back to the road with a small tint of red coming up to his orange flames. ( A/N:Love at first sight for him?)

Sans told Alphys about the conversation he had with you. She thanks him for the info and explained about your condition and mind state you're in. He feels sorry for you. "Heh, sound like Flowey for not feeling anything but not that kid can feel just can not understand normally."
