There are three monsters in the house and one human child. Well, make that two humans counting you. You were at Toriel's home she and Grillby agreed to let her take you in so he can do his job, but also Toriel can take care and watch over you better than he can in the situation he's in because of his career.

The other monsters that are in the house are two skeleton brothers. As for the human child, Frisk. They were in the living room as the tall skeleton, Papyrus, is scolding as he complains at his older shorter skeleton brother, Sans, for his bad jokes. "What's wrong Papyrus?" The short skeleton asked. "SANS, YOU MUST STOP MAKING BAD JOKES THIS INSTANCE!" The tall skeleton shouted out an order even when his voice is already loud enough to be considered shouting. Sans the shorter skeleton apologized, while makings of a joke processes.

"Well sorry, Paps. I just can't help myself. I'm-" "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT SANS!" Papyrus warned him. "Just-" Sans continued. "DON'T" Papyrus warned again. "BONED to be wild!" The shorter skeleton said finishing his joke. "NYEEEEEEE, OH MY GOSH SANS!" Papyrus said in rage annoyed. Sans and Frisk laughed together where they sat on the couch while the mad skeleton fumes. "Sans, Frisk please settled down with the jokes on Papyrus from making noises. And Papyrus please can you lower your voice down for the time being." Toriel settles the group down entering in the living room.

"Sup Toriel. How's the other kid doing?" Sans greeted Toriel. "NYE, TORIEL IS THE OTHER HUMAN OKAY?" Papyrus frowns question in a softer yet still loud tone. "The guest is okay just still asleep. Still..." Toriell said toned with hints of worry. "Hey, Toriel lighten up cause that sigh of your could wake up the dead." Sans joked to lighten up the mood in the atmosphere that's slowly weighing down. Toriel let out a laugh as Frisk tugs her dress skirt lightly asking to see you. "Oh, why yes child. It's so nice of you to worry about someone else. It's has been days asleep, but now is not the time. The guest has just recently ate so let the guest rest. So later in the day, ok?"

The child nodded in understanding and walked off to their room. You were in your room slowly waking up. Your body slowly moves to activate your nerves coursing through you reviving. Your eyes open up shifting left to right recovering vision. The first thing you saw was a white wall like the one in your dream. But only to notice it's not a wall and is laying down. It's was the ceiling you're looking at, you sit up to see where you are. Only to get startled by a cloth-like object crawling off your chest and shoulders, you jumped in surprise to feel something new.

You quickly look down realizing that it was a blanket. Not like the thin medical blankets used for surgery or protect work area. It was a normal like blanket used for beds. You carefully touch the large thick cloth. It was soft and fluffy when grasps lightly. You never knew what a blanket felt like, the touch feels so different. You take your time to examine the room you're in. The room is nothing like the one in your dream. There's no clock to tell time. It has a more interesting feel to it unlike the hospital gives off. No tension, no worry, no fear, no anything of that mixture of negative emotions you're so used to especially that emotion.

The room's atmosphere somehow also makes you feel like an outsider, out of place to be here. You don't even know how to describe the feeling. It's... too new, unknown. It makes you uneasy, confused. What is this? You thought. What is this? You repeat the question again. The actions of not knowing and confusion starts to anger you. You pushed off the blanket roughly, though surprised that it's light. It didn't calm your anger. You were muttering to yourself as you stood up off the bed and jumped down hard making a loud noise in the house, because of your anger.

Surprisingly the child Frisk, they were almost to their room was passing by your room heard it loud and clear. Frisk came to the door and knocked on it. You listened to the knocks on your door you quickly went to the other side of the bed. Frisk came in saw you weren't on the bed. They went carefully to the bed and got startled by you pop out your head asking. "Who are you?" In surprise, they smiled warmly greeting themselves calming. You were even more confused than before.

This person is freaking small to you. Oh, wait it's a child. Since when you have last met one. NEVER. Never for years except for your reflection in the mirror when a child. All you see are your lifeless eyes from that single memory of the first time you saw a mirror. The complete opposite from this child name Frisk and strange out by their behaviors and reaction to you. They extend a hand out as a welcoming gesture waiting for patient for you to grab it. You backed away holding your arms up slightly on defense. Glaring coldly at the child, you don't trust them, and they are weird.

The child smile went away and walked out of the room asking you to come along. They waited intently for you to come. You slowly stood up and cautiously followed the child you considered very strange. Both of you went downstairs to the living room to see what you didn't expect to see. Two dead bodies were standing with no flesh on their bare bones. A female goat who has a humanoid body. The skeletons didn't see you for they were in the kitchen.

The goat saw you were in surprised to see you said something, unable to hear you were in a state of complete shock. The goat has a concerned face walked over to you said more words you don't pay attention too. The skeletons noticed your presences and gave you worried looks also with their jaws moving. The goat raises her hand out to you. You backed away. You saw the child was concerned too. They all get closer to you. You lost your mind you thought. You have finally lost your mind to not able to know what's reality or not. You raised your hands clamped onto your head that bowed down.

You let out a smile. The monster and the child are afraid of what have happened to you. You giggle. You giggle and giggle until the giggles become a maniac's laughter. It's so funny although horrifying and yet it's still funny. You have kept your mind state from going more insane like this for so many years and now all that effort is now all go to waste. You failed to keep your mind at least somewhat stable and you can't stop laughing. As you laughed as tears came out in streams, running down so easily. You fail. You thought.

You failed. YoufailedYoufailedYoufailedYoufailedYoufailedYoufailed YoufailedYoufailedYoufailedYoufailedYoufailedYoufailed. "Am I?" You cracked out a questioned. "Going more insane?" Everyone was in complete silent to hear what you've said. "I failed."

A/N:

Hello, there's one thing to know about this story. There are lots of ups and downs. Don't forget the feels. This is, after all, a slice of life lesson to be told. Frisk's gender is unknown so feel free to consider the child a boy or girl or other genders. I just keep it neutral like the reader too. Since it is for all readers. Try to get this out to other Undertale fans who like or love Grillby or not. That's you to decide. Hope you enjoy this...

P.S

:(. This is really sad to me. *Get's the feels* Bye. (T'^T)/"
