You woke up by the drumming sound of knocking. You shifted away taking cover under the bed sheets. The sound drums again. You've given up by the noise for it won't stop until you respond. You slipped out of bed and walked to the door to open. When you open, you saw no one there, but you quickly look down to see a skeleton staring at you with his white pupils from the sockets of his skull.Sans: "Sup, kid?"
Reader: "......"
Sans: "......"
Sans: "Not much of a talker are you?"
You simply stare aimlessly with no purpose or reason shown in your eyes with nothing but the fatigue.
Sans: "Hey kid you ok? You don't look so hot today."
There's no denying it. You knew that it happens to everyone to just be out of bed and not look so well in the morning. You were slightly slouching with a baggy t-shirt and gray sweatpants that Toriel offered for you instead of wearing that hospital gown. It took a lot of trouble to get them on when you only force to wearing straitjackets and hospital gowns for years.
You shrugged.
Sans: "Toriel asked me to wake you up. Breakfast is ready."
You followed Sans. Along the way, Sans talked to you about some certain things as you both go downstairs. "Hey kid you better not hurt anyone in here." You nodded away to show you were listening and agreed to his order. "But if you were to do any harm..." Sans stopped at the staircase and turned around looking directly at you with only black sockets only. "You're going to have a bad time kid." You lack the feelings of fear nor concern, so you just looked at him with no response nor action at all. "Welp, better going Toriel will be wondering what took us so long." With that, Sans's eyes went back to his white pupils. You were wondering why or how you got used to the appearances of these people who are called to be 'Monsters.'
You arrived at the kitchen you greeted by Toriel and Frisk who are cooking. Frisk waved at you, you also waved back but little did you know the purpose of this action even when Frisk taught you how to do it. You took a seat in the same place where Toriel seated you at the first meal with this peculiar household before. When you sit down, and loud skeleton pop up in your face. "MORNING BIGGER HUMAN! I'M PAPYRUS THE GREAT, I KNOW I DIDN'T FULLY INTRO-" Papyrus was unable to finish his sentence only to startle you somehow. You lean back in your chair that is perpendicular to your legs causing the seat to fall on you onto your back also hitting your head too. The loud noise of the chair causes the two cooking to turn around to see you on the floor with knees and legs curled up and your hands on placed on the throbbing pain where you hit your head.
"OH NO! WHAT HAVE I DONE!" Papyrus was surprised by your reaction. "I'M SO SORRY HUMAN. ARE YOU ALRIGHT?! PLEASE ANSWER ME! I'M SO SORRY!" His red-gloved hands placed on his skull shouting out apologies hysterically. "Papyrus it's ok! Just don't approach the child that way," Toriel reply to the over worried skeleton to calm his pouring of deep apologies as she ran over to you. You saw Toriel with a light lavender apron lifted you upright and checked over you for any more injuries. None in sight, but a bad bruise on the back of your head. After that incident, you got a small ice bag on your head. You were eating soup again, but this time, it has some strange things in there like chopped vegetables and meat.
You were having a small struggle on chewing properly. It feels weird you thought to yourself having liquid and some solids turned into mush and got it down into your esophagus. "Child, are you having a hard time eating? Oh, I should have made the meat more tender for you to chew easier." Toriel noticed your struggle and sulks. She learned that you were eating your first meals from Frisk when they bring your meal. You shake your head in disagreement. You continued to eat. You finally finished the meal somehow. Toriel was relieved to see that. Sans is still distrusting to have you in the house but then notices that you're not able to harm anyone so quickly.
