Grillby POV:

He didn't want to talk about it. About the things you have done while you're hallucinating... or just being straight insane. It was terrifying yes, but it was more so that he is in love with you. A tragic love that may ended up in smoke and ashes. He told Sans not to worry over that and typical Sans he will not let this type of situation slide.

"Grillby." Sans voice was getting stern. "You have may have handled many encounters well, but don't forget that you have been knocked out that one time. You remember that? Of course you do."

How could Grillby forget. You were beating up an animal at Toriel's a few weeks after the smoke incident. It happen when you were at the backyard relaxing on the ground. You were left alone for only a few minutes from the others until one of them heard sounds of a  screeching and laughter in the back. It was a horrifying experience now he was aware what you are capable of. The torturing of the animal was gruesome that Frisk was needed to turn back in the house. No one knows how in the world you were able to catch one or even get a small animal in such short notice.

He had to hold you back quickly from getting suspicious from the neighbors you do not like that at all being told what to do and not do especially when you're having fun. Filled with such rage you swung his body that is behind you down in front. Out of shock his grip loosen from your arms. You throw hits at Grillby who has the underhand have to be in defense from being further hurt. That was just then things have gone too far, you were at fault, you went to the watering hose that was on the side of the house. Everyone else came out except for Frisk and Papyrus were inside to see what all the commotion, told from Frisk, is going on. If only they were there sooner you would have put to a stop from turning the wheel. Water flows out, screams came out in respond. You enjoyed it, it was all shown in your sadistic laugh. It didn't last long until you realized what you have done abruptly turn the water off.

Grillby was not moving as his body lay on the soaked grass. His flames were not as bright and open as they. Small, dimmed like a weak light on a puny lighter. There were black marks spreading almost throughout all over the charred fire. Your sight got blurry, you feel wetness on your face the heart is screaming internally in pain.
What is this feeling? You don't know. You only let it consume you like the shadow would do to you.

"I'm sorry." That is all what you can say, it did not help at all to relieve the pain. Everyone that was outside all in horror at the sight of you. Hands unclean dirty with blood along with face wet with saltwater. None of them encounter you but Sans that attempts to choke you to death with his telekinesis abilities. His right eye socket is glowing you willing accept the punishment you thought was death. Instead he gave mercy to you leaving you unconscious while other hurridly bring Grillby inside to be treated immediately.

That the most luckiest moment for such a person Sans thought to himself.

Everyone was afraid of you and they hid it. You are a good person with some self control but it was very well understood that there are consequences they have to prevent or to prepare for. You are still guilty for what crimes you have made that needs to be payed for.

"Sans, just how in the world can we fix this problem?" The skeleton sighed pitying the fire monster.

"Grillby, I don't know but how much longer can you withstand this issue that you. Yourself can not fix?"

"..."
There was silent no response from Grillby.

"Grillby you have to let them go this is crazy of you to keep this going. Look Grillby, pal, you have a life of your own they do not. They never have in the first place. If you just going to ignore everything that I just said you're killing yourself mentally first before they kill you physically."

Those words spoken is ripping him apart already before Sans knew it. Completely aware that Sans is saying that for everyone that knew him if each every one of them knew he is in such a situation like this.

".... ..... ......... .............
Thank you for your concern Sans. Although it seems that will not be the case for another day."

"Grillby didn't I just said-"

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Before he even finished his sentence it was too late. Grillby made it clear that he made a choice that he stood firmly not budging to stray from the possible death penalty to come.

Sans glanced at the psychopath who was out of their room. They ask how's Grillby doings. Of course you have no memory of almost killing your caretaker, oblivious. Sans made a white lie that is only half the truth.

"Grillby's is doing swell. Just very, I mean very tire that he needs a week off or two to get better."

Sans still can't hide all of his aggression towards you. You picked it up like a flower as you nodded. It was then you took him off guard by saying this.

"Sans I know I did something wrong. It would have been better if you and the rest just tell me what I done to make everyone.... rather far. I'm sorry, Sans. I do not know what else I can do but say that. I am just..."

Tear welled up on you. You continue wiping the water with the back of your hand. Sans is up to a bad start having a emotional patient now although he start to feel sympathetic for you from a question.

"Sans? Why did Grillby not let me die?"

The skeleton understands well the hidden message you were trying to say.

From the other line was a worn down flame injured. His glasses were no longer on his face he was in his bedroom recovering. That does not mean he will undo the bandages as he examined the damage you inflicted to him. Charred black, it almost seem they will be scars but no they won't. Scattered about on the limbs here and there while the rest are on his torso and back. Mainly the back.

The more he looks at his wounds the tighter his throat gets, until he's starts to break down causing the light he has dimmed and brighten flickering rapidly. If someone saw him at that state they would describe a fire on paper in the fireplace is struggling to go on burning the wood that is all gone but ashes that was once was.

Grillby couldn't take it anymore. It's too much for him to handle, but it is the truth. He has to give you up when the time comes and yet he can't bring himself to. He loves you too much.

Too much.
