Chapter 6

We rode on four more rides after the ghost train and then stopped for dinner.
"Hey have you told Sophie about the thing?" Hazel asked Phil as we sat down with our food.
"What thing?" I asked.
"Well, I guess we can tell her now" Dan said.
"Too damn right you can tell me now" I laughed and everyone laughed with me.
"Next week, there's the YouTube holiday" Phil said, "It's the largest gathering of YouTubers of the whole year and its all top secret from viewers"
"It's basically two weeks in Hawaii just filming collabs and having some down time. The hotel is completely shut off from viewers and there's extra security on any excursions from the hotel. The whole place is on shut down for us to enjoy ourselves, a bit like leaving the fame behind" Dan said.
"Although it's weird because we're not famous, we're just known through teenagers and it's strange to say that" Hazel chipped in.
"Anyway, yeah it's next week and we've decided to go" Phil said. The excited butterflies nearly made my stomach explode and I looked at everyone else.
"Everyone goes?" I asked.
"Everyone" Dan replied.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.
"We didn't know if Phil would be well enough, if he wasn't we didn't want you to be disappointed" Dan explained. I hugged them both tightly and we returned to our food.

"Oh I don't feel so good" Dan said as we came out of the Oblivion ride. It was basically a massive vertical drop into a pitch black hole and then round the other side.
"Do you need a minute?" Hazel asked.
"Yes"
"Right well you have your minute and we're going on this!" She said and Dodie, Phil, Hazel and I all ran off to the next ride. I wondered where Zoe and everyone went but then I saw them over queuing up for the Smiler. Phil and I sat in of the carts and Dodie and HAzel sat behind us. This ride was like a horizontal ferris wheel. It had space ship looking carts on the end of each metal arm. The carts had a metal cage surrounding the whole thing and there were no straps or belts to keep you in your seat. I was sat between Phil's legs and the ride started to spin fast and then it began to rise up like a ferris wheel. I could hear Dodie and Hazel behind us screaming and Phil squealed every so often.
"I hate you for making me go on that Hazel" Phil said as we got off, all of us dizzy.
"C'mon that was fun!" She said and we raced off to the next ride.
