Chapter 32

We woke up the next morning with cricks in our necks from our awkward sleeping arrangements.
"Pancakes?" Tommy asked. We all nodded profusely. Dan went off for a shower and Phil went to post a video so I decided to tidy up a bit.

After breakfast we spend the rest of the day lounging around until finally Dan suggested we went for a walk. We decided to go to the park, the park Phil proposed to Dan. It was dark and empty and eerie but there was enough of us to make me feel safe. We climbed the rock and sat together chatting. The stars turned up above us and the moon rose high in the sky and gleaned down on us. The distant murmur of busses, taxis and cars hummed from the end of the park. The faint glow of the houses and shops accompanied the sound. Being so far away from everything was nice sometimes, it made us appreciated the world more. My life had changed dramatically the last few years. I had a family, a home, friends, a boyfriend! A future possible career and millions of people following our every move. Some people would scoff at the idea of 'living off the internet' but I'd have it no other way. The internet was my home, it was how I discovered my now-parents. It gave me a chance to become someone other than an orphan from a rough part of London. As for Tommy, we had the same background, we'd had the same melancholic upbringing with the same monotonous cycles of school, home, dinner and sleep. We understood each other in a way nobody else could because of what we'd both experienced. I smiled to myself as I looked at the moon, every detail could be seen from the deepest crater to the outer rims of light shining from it. My life was incredible. My life was now mine...
