Chapter 26

Months had passed since the fire. The gaming room had now been totally reinvented, new ma computer, new chairs, wallpaper everything. It looked a lot nicer than before in my opinion but Dan was constantly finding things similar to ones we lost in the fire to put in there. I continued to be home-schooled and my channel started growing. I was focusing making a career out of that because nothing in school interested me. I hated Maths more than anything. My favourite subjects were English and Biology and i seemed to do okay in them. Physics and Chemistry were going to be the death of me. I could not retain any information on it yet when I came to be tested on them I did fairly well. Phil thinks I have a talent for science but I know if I was put in a situation using science I'd have no idea what to do. 

It was cold as I walked home from Starbucks. The winter weather was beginning to show. It was only just November and the sky was already darkening despite the fact that it was only 3:30pm. I'd been to meet with Alice, Callum and Tom. I never seemed to go to Kung Fu anymore. I got my black belt and then things got in the way. It was still nice to see them though and hear how things were. I crossed the road to the house and I felt someone behind me. They were shouting me. I heard my name loud and clear. I took my headphones out and turned around. A familiar looking boy was sat at the bus stop. He was wearing denim blue jeans and a red top and a black leather jacket. He had brown hair and on it was a grey beanie. 
"Tommy?" I asked.
"Oh my god Sophie it is you" Tommy said.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked giving him a hug.
"I live in those block of flats, I finally escaped"
"What! You live there?" I asked, "when did you move in?"
"Three weeks ago, why?" He asked.
"I live there too" I said smiling. 
"What floor?" 
"3" 
"I live on 6" He said, "I cant believe this"
"I know, how old are you now?" I asked.
"19" He said.
"How long ago did you leave?" I asked.
"5 months ago" He replied. This was unbelievable. 
"I cant believe you're here" I said hugging him again, "come meet my adopted parents!" 
"Are you sure they'll appreciate it?" He asked.
"Yes!" I practically dragged him across the road and up the 3 flights of stairs to our house. I let us in and ran into the living room, "Dan! Phil!" 
"Sophie?!" Phil yelled running out of their room, "honey what?"
"Look!" I said pointing at Tommy, Dan emerged from the kitchen.
"Phil, she's brought a boy home, what do we do?" Dan whispered loudly to Phil. I giggled. 
"Sorry, this is Tommy. He's a boy who used to live at the orphanage with me" I said.
"Hi" Tommy introduced himself. It was strange to see my current life and a part of my old one merge together. But i liked it.
