We left the skyscraper and got in an Uber and once again the address was hidden from me. Tommy was sat next to me and gave me a wide grin as we set off. We turned down a road an the London Eye was looming above us, were we really?
The car pulled up and we got out.
"Shall we?" Dan asked.
"We're going on that?!" I asked excitedly. Since coming to live with them, if ever in a dull moment I'd wanted to go on the London eye.
"We sure are" Dan said. We walked up the small plank and a lady at the gate let us into one of the pods. We started climbing in height. More and more of London becoming visible at every moment. I had my face near pressed up against the glass when I realised Tommy was stood next to me.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" He asked.
"Best night ever" I said smiling broadly.
"Well, there was a reason I came tonight" he said, "I... I was well wondering, if... you wanted to be my girlfriend?"
"Really?" I couldn't believe this. My dads had set me up. Only those two would, "yes"
"Really!" He said smiling even wider.
"Of course!" I turned my head to Dan and Phil and they had their backs turned to us but their necks were strained to listen. The ride was over in a short hour but I was starting to get tired. We walked for a while and got hot chocolates from a Starbucks which was minutes from closing.
"So I should probably head home" Tommy said.
"Do you have too?" I asked, the disappointment sinking in my stomach.
"Yeah it's getting late" He said, "but I'll come see you tomorrow"
"Please do" I replied, he lowered his head and I raised mine without thinking. His soft lips touched mine making my shudder. As we pulled apart we smiled and I saw Dan shaking Phil silently out of the corner of my eye which made me giggle.
"See you tomorrow" he said walking towards the bus stop.
"Goodbye"Xxx
