Chapter 14

After messing about in the pool for a few hours, the sun started to go down so we headed back to our hotel rooms. We took it in turns to shower and we changed into our evening wear. I wore a white top tucked into a blue cotton skirt and my white floral sandals. I brushed my blonde and slightly damp hair and tugged it into a loose bun.

We saw the others downstairs and we were happy to find that our table was situated near theirs.
"Buffet!" Dan said, "I'm off"
"Oh my god! Look at the size of the slices of pizza!" I said and rushed off to the tables. We all returned struggling to carry our over-piled plates and drinks. As I sat down, I felt a rush of nausea come over me and I took a sip of my drink. Probably just hungry.
"So, we have two days until Vidcon actually starts, what shall we do?" Dan asked, just as I was about to answer I saw a black figure standing behind the buffet table. He was tall, wearing dark pants and a long black coat. His head was bent down but I could make out the whites of his eyes staring at me. I panicked and shuddered. I took another sip of water and looked at Dan.
"Are you okay?" Phil asked.
"Yeah yeah just, thirsty" I said quickly, the dark man had disappeared. Where?

After dinner, we decided to go for a walk around the hotel and the resort around it. Apparently there was a water park connected and a small beach. Also, there was an underground room dedicated to games, old and new. We strolled down the dim lit paths, surrounded by palm trees and there was sand in the cracks of the brick path. We walked a little further until I could hear the sound of waves crashing and I could smell the beach.
"Hello, who's round here then?" Dan asked as we turned a corner and walked onto a small basketball court. There were three picnic benches and a small closed hut in the area too but the rest of it was grass with palm trees and hedges separating it from the rest of the grass.
"Yeah!" Someone yelled, "Look who's here!"
"Come play!" Someone else yelled, I couldn't see who it was until my eyes adjusted. Daniel, Jack, Tom and Alfie were all stood around on the court whilst Zoe, Poppy, Louise, Hazel and Dodie were sat on the benches. In the corner, near the hut stood a group of tall people which I assumed were Oli and Caspar and those guys.

We sat around and watched the other play then us girls decided we'd intercept the game and run off with the ball. Zoe stole the ball off Tom and went tearing onto the path and into the dark. The lads ran after her and the rest of us followed closely to watch the chase. People were vlogging and snapchatting. I jumped in on so many people and then carried on until we found them. I stopped to tie my shoelace and when I looked up the same dark clothed man was stood at the end of the path were it turned right or left. I gasped and ran back towards the basketball court hoping there was someone there.
