I was confused by the comment 'dress nice' yes it's a straight forward comment but to someone who's no idea what to plan for it's kinda hard. I chose a black skirt and burgundy body suit, I curled my hair and did my make up then put on some heels. I was always the smallest from Dan and Phil obviously but Tommy was about the same height. Wouldn't kill anyone to add a few inches. I came out of my room and grabbed my coat off the coat hook.
"Ready?" Dan asked.
"Yep" I said "gonna tell me where we're going yet?"
"Nope!" Dan said. We went down and got into an Uber. Phil whispered the address and we set off. We headed down a serious of road, turned corners to a place in London I didn't recognise. We stopped outside a tall building coated in glass. I gasped as we got out the Uber and gazed upwards until my neck hurt. I was led inside and into a lift where we went to the 30th floor!!
"What is this place?" I asked once in the lift.
"Food" Dan said adjusting his blazer jacket.
"Just a casual Chinese you know" Phil said making us giggle. The doors opened and a room dimmed in red appeared. I was mesmerised. There were round tables placed everywhere. A long glass bar with red lights behind lined one wall. The chandeliers hung beautifully in line over the tables.
"Ah welcome!" A waiter came over, "have you reserved a table?"
"Yes, Howell- Lester" Phil said.
"Ah, right this way my friends" we were led around a corner and down a small ramp. We seemed to leave the tables behind and started to walk past leather seated booths, lit with candles and surrounding a large circular table.
"A member of your party has already arrived" The waiter said. Suddenly butterflies arouse in my stomach, Tommy. We turned a small corner and sure enough Tommy was sat on the leather seats, only lit by the small flickering lights of 8 candles. We sat down and were handed menus. It was awfully posh and expensive. I was confused as to why we came out tonight, why here? Why not the takeaway from down the road? We soon engaged in a conversation about two of the male waiters we could see on the dessert cart by our table. Me and Dan were sure they were together.
"No no see look how they're touching each other" Dan said, "it's flanter"
"They're pulling away too quickly, its platonic" Phil said.
"But the smiles on their faces and how they look at each other" I said.
"They're laughing with each other" Tommy said. We soon settled that by he end of the night if we hadn't decided on who won we'd ask them ourselves.By the time our deserts were ordered we were full. Dan and I were keeping close watch on the waiters.
"We had better hurry or we'll miss it" Dan said glancing at his phone.
"Miss what?" I asked.
"You'll see" Dan said signalling to a waiter for the bill. More surprises? What now?Xxx
