I stepped out of my house to be greeted by a gust of wind. It's that time of year right after summer but not full on fall yet so it's either kinda chilly or still kinda hot.

I wrapped rubbed my hands up and down my arms and started walking towards the school. My hair was still kind of wet which didn't help.

"Hey, Ryan. Wait up!" I heard someone yell from behind me. I turned around and saw that new guy running towards me. Huh, I still haven't learned his name yet. But he knows mine. Wait how does he kno- Oh yeah l, last night. I wouldn't be surprised if the three other guys act like nothing happened. Part of me wants them to, but the other part of me is sick and tired of being invisible.

"Hey. Ya there?" He said waving a hand in front of my face. I snapped out of my thoughts. He was standing right in front of me now. When did he get there?

"Uh hi?" I say awkwardly not knowing what to say. It came out as more of a question instead. He chuckled and stuck his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

"So. Lead the way." He said. I looked at him confused. "To school." He said.

"Oh. Yeah. Right. But one question." I say. He nodded for me to continue. "Why are you walking with me?" I asked. He smiled and shrugged. I just shrugged it off and we started walking to school.

"I'm Jc, by the way" he said. I nodded.

"So how do you know the three musketeers?" I trying to break up the awkward silence. He looked at me confused. Probably not knowing who I was talking about. No one called them that, it was just a nickname I gave them.

"Mark, Kyle, and Brandon" I say. Realization flashes across his face.

"I've been coming here every summer since I was three because my aunt lives here. Kyle lived across the street and Mark and Brandon was always at his house. We became friends after that, hung out every summer. Then I moved here and yeah..." He said. I nodded.

"Oh. Cool. I've known them since kindergarden. Well not known them, but went to school with them. As you saw last night, Brandon thought I was new. I knew I was invisible here, but I thought they would at least know my name." I say. He glanced at me. He smiled, shook his head, and turned back to face in front of him.

"What?" I ask. He just shook his head meaning nothing. "What?" I asked again. He chuckled. "I hate you." I huffed crossing my arms.

"You love me."

"I don't even know you."

"We'll have to change."

Wait, what.

-

"Ryan!" I hear someone shout. I turned around to see a very happy looking Mark walking towards me. People started staring at him like he was crazy. You see, as stereotypical as it sounds, popular people like him don't usually talk to or even acknowledge people like me. It was seen as unnatural.

I shut my locker and turned around waiting for him to get to me. "What's up bettercup?" He says when he reaches me. He leans on the lockers beside us and crosses his arms.

I raise an eyebrow. "Buttercup?" I ask. He shruggs.

"It suits you." He says before adding "Plus it rhymes."

I laugh and nod. He smiles. "So what's up?" He asks.

"The sky." I say.

"Ha, your funny." He says sarcastically. I grin at him.

"Yes, I know." He grins back at me.

We're inturrupted when an arm is thrown over my shoulder. I looked up to see Brandon. Yes, look up. He's like six or seven inches taller than me. I'm like 5'3 maybe 5'4. I'm short okay!

"Hey sweetheart" Brandon said smiling down at me. Why is he talking to me? Why was Mark talking to me? Why are they talking to me? I'm so confused! Brandon didn't even know who I was before yesterday, well technically this morning.

"Hi?" I said but it came out more as a question. He looks like he was about to say something but We were inturrupted by Kyle this time. Kyle walked up to us with a huge grin. Why is he so happy?

"Because I just found out something about Ms. Ryan here." He says. Wait, did I say that out loud? But what does he mean? He found out something about me?

"What did you find out?" I asked curiosly. I'm honestly kind of scared. There's no way that's what he is talking about. No way. I haven't told anyone. No one knows.

"Your the chick that's always keeps my pranks going when I get kicked out of class." He says. I let out a sigh of relief.

"What do You mean?" Brandon asks. His arm is still over me and every once and a while he'll pull me a little bit closer to him, making me blush.

"Your a legend, really. Almost as big as me. I've heard about people telling me what happens when I he kicked out of class. They told me a girl keeps the fun going, but no one ever knows her name." Kyle says.

"Surprise, surprise." I mutter. Of course no one would no my name.

"What do you mean?" Kyle asks. It's obvious. Why does he want me to spell it out.

"I'm invisible. A nobody at this school. So of course they wouldn't know my name. That's why I wasn't surprised that Brandon didnt know who i was. That's why I was so surprised when Mark even knew that I've been going to the same school as you guys since we were five. That's why I am surprised that you three, the three most popular guys in this school would be talking to me." I said saying me like it left a bad taste in my mouth.

They all looked shocked at my sudden out burst. But something happened I really didn't think would. Brandon, who still had his arm around me, pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry I didn't know who you were. Really sorry sweetheart." He whispered in to my ear. My cheeks flushed and I couldn't actually be mad at him. He was too cute. I nodded and he let go.

"It's fine" I said with a reassuring smile. He grinned back and nodded.

"Good"

I turned to the other guys who were staring at me and Brandon.

"Why wouldn't we want to talk to you. Your awesome." Kyle says.

"Yeah your the only one who doesn't kiss up to us. Your try to get with us." Mark adds.

"Your different." Brandon says. I smile at the tree of them.

"Ya know, your all different then i'd thought you would be." I admit.

"How Sunshine?" Kyle asks

"Whats with all the nicknames?!" I say and throw my hands up. They all laugh. I get back to the question.

"I thought all of you were jerks and thought you could have anything you wanted or anyone that you wanted." I say truthfully.

"And what do you think now?" Mark asked hopefully.

"You guys are pretty awesome too I guess" I said grinning at them. They all pulled me into one group hug earning a few stares from some people.
