"What?!" I screamed earning a few looks from people that were walking by. Arrested? Why would he get arrested? What did he do to even get arrested? So many questions run through my mind.
"He got into a fight." He said like he could actually see the questions buzzing through me. I shook my head in disapproval and began walking towards the exit, Kyle following.
"That idiot!" I shrieked when we got outside. I finally processed that he got arrested. Like in jail. With cops and everything.
"That idiot." I say again turning to Kyle. He chuckled and started walking to his car. I followed behind him confused.
"Where are you going?" I asked. He got in the driver's seat and started the engine. I opened the passenger door and waited for an answer.
"We are going to bail him out." He said. I stood there for a moment. Bail him out. We actually have to go bail Jc out of jail. I huffed and got into the car. I crossed my arms in annoyance.
"That idiot." I muttered. Kyle chuckled and began driving.

"Jc Wallace" Kyle said to the lady at the front desk. She directed us where to go. I looked around. The place was dirty. There were a couple cops and some fat guy handcuffed to a bench.
I still can't believe he got arrested.
"Shortcake!" Jc yelled with his arms open in a fretting manner. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. We walked up to the holding cell he was in. "Thanks buddy." Jc said to Kyle patting his shoulder through the bars. Kyle walked away to a cop that was at a desk, probably to bail him out.
"Really?" I asked tilting my head to the side. Jc focused his attention on me. "You got arrested." I said. He nodded with a small smile. I rolled my eyes and turned around, waiting for Kyle to get back.
"Are you mad shortacke?" I heard him ask from behind me. I didn't say anything.
"Oh. Your lady's mad." A unknown voice said. I turn around to see a guy with tattoos covering his arms say. He was sitting on a bench that was in the cell. Jc chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not his lady." I say to the guy. He just laughs and I huff and turn around again.
"Yeah she is. She's just mad." Jc says. My eyes went wide and my heart beat quickened. I'm glad he couldn't see my face.
"Alright," a deep voice said. A cop walked up to us along with Kyle. He began unlocking the cell. "Youve been bailed out kid." The cop opened the door and If walked out. He walked up to me.
"You idiot!" I screamed at him hitting his arm. He flinched away but i didn't stop.
"You got in a fight then got arrested. How much stupider could you possibly be." I say while hitting his chest. He grabs my hands chuckling and puts them by my side. I cross my arms.
"Looks like you got a feisty one, huh?" The cop says. I felt an arm being thrown over my shoulder.
"Yeah. She's pretty fiesty." Jc says. I look up at him and glare. I push him off of me and go stand by Kyle. Jc just laughs.
"Okay, kid you can go. Just try and stay out of trouble okay?" The cop said to Jc. He nodded and we left.
"Idiot." I muttered again. I felt an arm on my shoulder.
"You love it though."
I do.
"You wish."

We all sat down in the booth at a small cafe. We still have two hours until school actually lets out, so we decided to come get some food.
Jc and Kyle were talking about something and I was just kind of sitting here like the awkward person I am.
I jumped when I felt vibrating, and then felt stupid when I realized it was my phone. I took it out to see a text from an unknown number.
You might want to control your boyfriend.
My heart beat quickened as I started to get freaked out. Who is this? What did they mean boyfriend? Could it be my dad? No, he's in prison.
Calm down Ryan.
Breath.
In, out.
"Shortcake?" I heard that nickname that I've grown so fond of. I looked up and my eyes met Jc's. I've always loved his eyes. They changed colors though. They'll be dark, then some days theyll be light, and then the little gold specks come and go.
Focus, Ryan.
"Are you okay?" He asked. All the attention was directed towards me. I glanced at Kyle and then Jc. I stuck my phone in my pocket and nodded. They didn't look convinced, but they dropped it.
"What would you guys like?" A thick New Jersey accent asked. We all looked up to see the waitress. She was pretty, with black hair that was tied back. She was chewing her gum really loudly and had a bored expression on her face.
"I want a cheeseburger and fries." Kyle said. She sloppily scribbled it down. Her eyes perked up a bit when she saw Jc.
"And what would you like, sweetheart?" She said with her accent that just got more annoying. Jc looked at the menu for a moment and she pulled her uniform skirt up just a little more and perked her chest out. I rolled my eyes and resist the urge to slap her.
Woah Ryan, are you jelous?
No of course not. I just don't like sluts.
Uh huh.
"I'll just have the same as him." He said. She nodded and turned to me. She looked me up and down before speaking. I rolled my eyes and closed the menu.
"And you" she said back to her bored expression. "Wait, are you sure you need anything hun?" She said. I raised my eyebrows. Is that her way of calling me fat? I held out my menu to her.
"Actaully no hun. I don't need anything from here because there's no telling what kind of STD's I'll get if you carry my food out." I said with a sweet smile. The guys failed to hold in there laughs. She gasp and snatched the menu. She walked away, but not for getting to throw Jc a "sexy" wink, which only make him laugh harder.
"Slut." I muttered under my breath. After they stopped laughing. Kyle went to use the restroom and it was just me and Jc.
"That was kind of hot." Jc spoke after a minute of ssilence. My head shot up and our eyes met. I smiled and rolled my eyes playfully, mentally giving myself a high five because I didn't blush.
"You guys just wanna ditch this place. I mean, we could catch a couple diseases from her." Kyle said when he reached the table. We laughed and nodded.
When we got in the car, Kyle said he was just going to take us home. I looked out the window as I mind wandered off. I resisted the urge to call Jc an idiot again when my mind wandered to earlier. I started thinking. He never said who he faught or what exactly happened.
"Hey Jc?" I said from the back seat. He turned around and waited for me to continue. "Who did you get in a fight with?" I asked. I didn't fail to notice the way his eyes went a little wide and his face fell. He gained his composure and took a breathe before telling me everything that happened.
