Tarrah sat in the cave preparing the meal by plucking each and every feather from the bird, while Rion was still relearning the meaning of breathing. He was still curled in the corner, not quite mopping but close to it. I only sat and watched him with a dull look, perhaps to an outsider mopping as well, but I rather think I was in the mist of thinking. We all faced the campfire, as a awkward and heavy silence fell over us all. only the sounds of burning, popping wood and the slicing of Tarrah's blade could be heard.

It had to have been about an hour since Rion awaken and I even had to admit it was petty for me to hold a grudge against him but my stubbornness wouldn't let me forgive him. It's like when I'm about to forgive him, I remember the wound on my neck and as a result I would feel the sharp pain of it, because when you forget a wound it does't hurt until you remember it. By the time I would forget the pain and begin to forgive the sulking Rion, the cycle would start all over again.

Don't get me wrong, I knew in another thirty minutes or so, I would forgive Rion it was just right now I didn't want to yet.

Getting tired of my thoughts swimming around I decided it was the time to take a break from them and become productive. I stood from my spot and stretched allowing the much needed physical movement to relax my body. It did not go unnoticed as both Tarrah and Rion stopped what they were doing and watched my actions, probably confuse as of what I was doing.

"I'm leaving to get resources for our journey, maybe even food if I'm lucky. I'll try to hurry back before it gets too late."

They both looked to one another as if sharing the same thought then looked back at me. Tarrah put down the bird and blade then looked up at me with skepticism knitted within her features.

"Are you sure that's a good idea it'll be late soon."

I though about that too. I really only wanted to go out and get some of the herbs of the area and fashion some sot of medicine for our journey. I really don't plan on leaving the area of the cave and I'm sure I will be back before nightfall.

I smiled at Tarrah and nodded my head, "I'm positive, besides I won't go out that far I'm just getting supplies for medicine."

Tarrah gave me a confused look but before she could question me any further Rion intervened, "I don't know Ame, you couldn't even take on a delirious man."

Tarrah shot him a glare challenging Rion to speak another word. Rion physically gulped and  suddenly found the ground more interesting. I scowled at him and even though he had a point, I still had every right to be angry.

"I can defend myself just fine."

Rion looked at me with a nervous smile and shook his head, "That came out wrong."

Despite his bruise, Rion turned so he was laying on his back with his head still directed at me.

"I mean, I can come with you and make sure you're safe. It's the least I can do to try to apologize for my actions earlier."

I was starting to hate Rion less and less.

"It's fine, I probably would have done the same thing in your shoes but I'm still going. Just stay here and rest up, we might leave this camp sight tomorrow and you'll need the strength."

Tarrah looked at me for a few more moments before deciding to focus her attention once more to plucking the feathers from the pheasant. Rion watched me for a few more minutes before deciding the ceiling of the cave was more interesting.

"Hurry back and don't stay out too late."

I smiled as shook my head and then took this as my cue to leave. I turned and began walking towards the mouth of the cave, in a hurry to make it back before nightfall. I wasn't an idiot, and really would have preferred to stay within the temporary safety of our camp, but I knew medication was more important at the moment. Father would always stress the importance of medicine on a journey. 'Always be sure you have it, never know when you are injured fighting for your life. It would be no point in fightin' if you're just going to die from an infection.'
