We watched as the merchant gathered his belonging, left at the square center and made his way towards the gate to leave. A thing about the village, once the gate is closed for the night it is not allowed to be opened again until morning, or in a state of emergency- so much for the later.

When the merchant finished gathering his belonging, he ventured to the door and gave three sharp knocks. For the moment nothing happened but finally, the gate creaked open.

"The Village is Closed, no exit and no entry will be permitted until morning."

"It's me."

The Gaurd paused for a moment before opening the gate wide enough for both him and his carriage to make it out. The King lead me along leading me out of the village.

The Gaurd I noticed was the one from earlier, and he looked to the hooded merchant with a look of anger.

"That will be the only time I allow you free pass Duic."

Duic stopped his tracks and turned his head to the guard. A look must have passed between the two since afterward the guard scuffed at the man and retreated back into the village, closing the gate behind with a deep, rumbling, echo.

Duic looked to the gate a tad bit longer before turning his head and leading his carriage away from the village.

I continue to stare at the merchant until he could not longer be seen riding down the dirt path. When I did look away I was met with His piercing eyes as if he were waiting for my response on the matter.

I decided to give him a question instead, "I know you wouldn't waste your time bringing me to this tiny squabble so why do so."

The man looked down the path to where the merchant began to disappear from eyesight and sent him a disgusted look,

"Unfortunately, that squabble is the reason why your village was targeted and destroyed in the first place."

I arched my brow in confusion but didn't voice it- the man before me, did, "You don't understand do you."

Frustratingly I shook my head, "Why can't you just tell me what's going on."

The Demonic King smiled at my small tantrum, "I want the events to transpire before you so that you may make your own judgment."

I squinted my eyes at him, "How do I know you're not alternating this to make it appear as if your actions were just."

The Demonic King thought about that for a minute, "That is a possibility, one I didn't really think of and sounds like more work than what I anticipated. Even if I were to do that, I'm sure you would be able to detect an unusual shift of something of the sorts."

He had a point, although I have never touched time magick I'm sure it would be somewhat simple to detect an illusion. Like I have said multiple times, once you are aware of an illusion, the spell no longer affect you.

He watched bemused as the wheels turned in my head. His smiled fell once more and was replaced by that distant mask he wore. Promptly he released me from his hold and walked a little in front of me.

"This is only the first segment of what I need to show you. If you don't mind, I ask that you close your eyes once more, I must accelerate time again."

I did as he instructed and in a few heartbeats, I began to feel the world speed by as the wind rush passed. When the sounds around me began to calm I felt as I was suddenly lifted off the ground and felt as though I was fall. This caused me to close my eyes tighter and hold onto the being who held me. He began to laugh as the world slowed down and I felt as we stopped falling.
