I looked at her in shock as I processed the information she had told me. My mother never really died but made some alliance with the demonic King to stay alive. Raiu was actually my brother, which at this point doesn't surprise me as much as it should had. What did take me by surprise was that my father,  Colt wasn't really my father in the first place but King Ivan was. Even thinking about it, I couldn't really believe it, but with Avia, no, my mother looking at me with genuine fear as she recalled her story, I could.

I looked to them both dumbstruck at what she told me, even the world around us grew silence. The birds no longer sang their songs or the trees no longer swayed to the wind, it was as if life itself stopped to wait for my reply.

I drew out a breath I hadn't known I been holding and looked to Aiva. Her expression was blank, but underneath that blank exterior was a hint of worry- worry of what I might say. I looked to the Demon before us unaffected by the story as if he knew the whole time, probably did.

"I just want to say one thing before I start asking questions."

She nodded her head, "Okay."

"Now that I know at least a small portion of the truth, I want to say, it doesn't matter who my birth father is, I know my real father will always and forever be Colt."

I watched as she visibly relaxed as she smiled up to me,"Damn straight."

I smiled at that,"I have so many questions."

She smile and nodded "I know."

"But now it is my turn to give you an explanation Ame."

I turned my head and glared at the man before me; Aiva of course noticed this interaction.

"I have a feeling you two are on bad terms."

The Demon sighed, "He still doesn't understand that I was trying to protect him."

That was the last straw.

I stormed towards His High-ass and mighty and pointed a figure directly at his chest,

"Don't you dare speak of them as if they were just cattle for the slaughter. You heartlessly murdered them and you expect me to forgive you just like that? My father was among 'those people. "

I was seething and I knew I had to calm myself before I made this situation worst than what it was, but I couldn't help myself.

The Demonic King looked down at me, his black expression unfazed by the outburst I had. Then before I knew what happened he suddenly picked me up over his shoulder. I was surprised but it soon transformed into anger.

"Let go of me!"

He held me with my arms now hitting his back trying to get his attention but he ignored me.

"Aiva, are you coming."

She must had shook her head, because I felt as the man shrugged and began walking away from the little girl. I was now able to see her and I watched as she sweetly smiled at me and waved her hand goodbye.

"Hey, wait a minute, where are we going, don't I get a say in this?"

"No."

That was all he said as I suddenly felt like the world around us vanish. For a moment all felt weightless and free, then just as the feeling came it vanished and our surroundings changed along with it.

The forest was not the bright and lively one we were in a moment ago, now it was dark and dull, void of any color. The man lift me from his shoulders and I felt as he gently placed me on the ground in front of him.
