The sandwiches, brownies, and water Aerolena Yin had packed was completely devoured in the course of thirty minutes. We were all hungry and not ashamed to show it as I, myself, had guzzled four sandwiches.

I had finally did it, what all my training and hardships had lead to, a meal that I could finally enjoy. All this fighting, all these aches and pains, my wet clothing, for four sandwiches, a brownie and some water.

If my friends lives were not on the line, I'd quit. But I guess another sandwich will do.

Aerolena Yin began to place empty containers and trash within the basket, Aerolena Yang however looked at me as if she was trying to figure something out. I decide to question her as I began eating my fifth sandwich.

"Is there something I can help you with."

Aerolena continued looking at me with her green, piercing, eyes that began to feel quite unnerving.

Turning my attention to Aerolena Yin I called out to her.

"Is there anything I can help you with, Aerolena?"

She waved her hand at me and smiled.

"Nothing as of now Ame, I'm alright."

I nibbled on my sandwich once more, this was awkward.

Silence filled the area once more to the point I was ready to make someone speak just for the hell of it.

Aerolena Yang gotten up and motioned Yin and I to do the same, which we did. With Yin holding the basket and I with nothing but a sandwich at hand, we began to walk towards the water where it all began.

I looked to them both skeptically, with a basket and blanket in hand, I was certain it would get wet.

Before I could speak my thoughts Both of them had walked over the edge of the small island. However neither of them fell within the water, they began to hover over it, not even touching the cool surface.

Somewhere in my mind I knew to expect it, but I could not help but to briefly think they where cheating.

Here I was having to walk into the water, fall in said "shallow water", get kidnapped by two Koi and an army of fish watching me, get dragged into the world of the dead, only to have to fight a demon that attached itself to my shadow, and find out that my "conscious" was an actual being that could take over my body at will. Plus we might as well add the small fact that said being is a undiagnosed sociopath that takes enjoyment from people pain, including his own.

But this could had all had been avoided if I could had walked the invisible pathway over the pond to get my food.

You know what, it's cool, I'm just going to walk over and calmly leave so I can relax for a bit before I have to help with the tavern.

I began to walk towards the edge of the island doing just that. Who needs the laws of physics when you have magick and the ability to bend nature.

"Yep, everything will be o-"

Suddenly, I felt my body correspond with gravity as I began to fall off the small island...

And into the water...

***************

The sky had fallen into a perfect dusk when we had finally reached the tavern yet my mind currently was not set on the beautiful surrounding as I opened the "evil" door. Wet foot prints followed me on the wooden floor as I walked towards the door leading to the base of the tavern, my clothing clung to me once more as I heard the drips splash into the hard surface, and my mouth turned into the frown it rightly deserves to be.
