Chapter 69: Eager Shuuei

Shuuei just got home and he immediately searched for his wife. He missed his wife. He was finally able to come home after a two weeks since Seiran has returned. He was sent outside Kiyou for a mission and so guarding the emperor 24/7 was solely Shuuei's job. His loyalty made his resolution firm and he remained in the palace without seeing his wife in the Hyou clan.

''Welcome home darling,'' Shusui smiled at the Shuuei who is searching around for her.

''I'm home Shusui my love,'' Shuuei beamed and lifted her in the air at arms-length. Shusui chortled and he kissed her passionately upon putting her down. His kisses instantly became filled with hunger. ''I missed you so much. I'm going to do it right here right now,'' he said and held her tight against his stone chest as his mouth ravaged her.

''Don't be ridiculous. Are you going to let someone else get aroused by my nudity? Are you going to let them watch how I look drunk in pleasure?'' Shusui said and he instantly shook his head.

''No! That's only mine to beheld,'' Shuuei said and swiftly lifted her in his arms and walked to their room. Shusui laughed. ''I'm sorry I only came home now. I had to fulfill my duties.''

''That's fine with me. I'm glad that Ryuuki-sama has someone with him while everyone else is away. I will kill you myself if you shun your duties and make him sad again,'' Shusui replied.

''I won't do that ever again,'' Shuuei swore.

''That's only appropriate. Take care of the Emperor for me now that I cannot always stay close to him.''

''I will,'' Shuuei promised. It's good to have a wife that loves the same King he loves. It would be hard if Shusui is not loyal and close to Ryuuki too.

Shusui had seen Ryuuki's loneliness and sadness through the years she was in the Inner Palace and does not want him to always be like that. ''Moreover, I don't need a husband who prioritizes his lust before his sworn duty,'' she added.

Shuuei laughed. ''The way I crave for you is not just lust, my love.'' Upon closing their door, Shuuei's lips are immediately on hers and his hands are already exploring her body. She shivered at his eagerness.

Shusui found herself against the door, moaning against her husband's lips as he thrusts inside her. He lifted her and wrapped her legs around his waist to take himself deeper. Shuuei swallowed her moans and did not stop until when they both reached their peak of pleasure and release.

''I love you,'' Shuuei whispered against her ear as he kissed her before carrying her to the bed.

Shusui is still taking in what just happened. ''It's only for two weeks and you acted like you did not see me for two years. I think you're addicted to me already. Maybe I should cut the times we make love,'' she said when she finally processed what just happened.

''What?! No!'' Shuuei protested with panicked eyes. ''Didn't you like what I just did?'' he asked and his wife just looked away. He gasped. ''I'm sorry. I won't do that again if you didn't like it. Don't cut the times we make love.'' He eyed her when she did not say anything again. His worry was replaced with suspiciousness and jealousy. ''You didn't miss me?'' he asked with a hurt voice.

Shusui looked at his face upon hearing that. She laughed and Shuuei was surprised when she wrapped her legs around his waists again. ''I want another round,'' she said and kissed him eagerly.

Shuuei's eyes twinkled. ''I love you,'' he said again as they made love. He is hoping that he could make his wife pregnant soon. He is envious and a little bitter that Kouyuu had already made Sera pregnant. After several more rounds, they both collapsed and just cuddled.

''I want a baby soon,'' he said to his wife as he caressed her belly.

''You're ulterior motive is impure. I won't let you become a father if you're like that. You're just envious of Kouyuu-sama and Sera-chan. You're jealous that you're friend who hated women married first and now made his wife pregnant you are able to,'' Shusui read his mind.

''It's not like that!'' he protested. ''It's true that I'm a little envious but that's not why I wanted you to be pregnant.'' He kissed her cheek and hugged her. ''I want a child with you Shusui. I want to be the father of your child. I promise I'll take care of and love you both,'' he sincerely said.

Shusui smiled. ''Don't be so eager and let nature take its course.'' Then she raised her brows and narrowed his eyes at him. ''Or maybe you already are a father. You just don't know due to the number of women you have defiled.''

Shuuei was crestfallen. ''How little do you take me for? I really don't have sex with every woman I flirt with. I never defiled a woman either. I just sweet-talk. There's no way that I already have a child. I'm sure about that.''

Shusui wanted to laugh at him. She decided to tease him. She stretch her arms. ''I wonder why I feel like I'm just another woman whom you take pleasure to lay in bed. And a woman whom you have chosen and made to carry a child for your bloodline.''

''What? It's not like that at all. I sincerely love you Shusui. Is my love not enough for you? Did I do something wrong? Am I not giving you what you want? Tell me. I'll give you anything to make you happy,'' Shuuei freaked out.

''Anything?''

''Yes. Tell me. Anything.''

''Anything?'' Shusui repeated with a mischievous smile.

''Yes. Anything but sleeping with other men especially Shouka-sama,'' Shuuei said and lay on top of her to say that she is already his and there is no turning back.

Shusui paled. ''What are you talking about?!''

''I knew,'' Shuuei smiled.

Shusui's eyes further widened at that. Her lips trembled as she asked. ''You knew what?''

Shuuei took a deep breath. ''I knew that you loved him, an unrequited love?''

Shusui sighed in relief. She thought it was about their secret identity. ''Since when?'' she asked to cover up that she has something else in mind but Shuuei already noticed.

''You nearly collapse one time. It was when you shrunk at Riou's eyes due to the hypnotism. He was trying to help you to your chambers and I carried you instead. You mistook me for Shouka-sama,'' Shuuei retold that painful memory.

''I'm sorry,'' Shusui said.

''It's quite painful that time. My unrequited love for you and your unrequited love for him. It's quite complicated isn't it? But it's alright.'' He kissed her lips.

Shusui's eyes widened. ''You already love me that time? And you mean you knew the whole time we were in Ran province?'' He nodded and she bit her lip.

''I fell for you the first time I saw you. You were alone then, dancing the dance of unrequited love. You threw your fan at me and it tore my sleeve.''

Shusui searched that in her memory and finally recalled their first meeting. ''You are to take the exams then? You mean it was ever since that night?!''

''Yes. You never noticed until when I finally told you directly since your eyes are solely focused on Shouka-sama. I am quite shattered to have the likes of him as my love rival. I can never surpass him even now.''

Shusui fell silent. She did not know what to say.

''Do you still like him the way you do before?'' Shuuei wanted to know. ''Please answer me honestly. I don't care whatever you say. I will still love you. I just want to know you more Shusui. If you are not yet ready to give up on him even now, I'm fine with it. I'll help you get over him little by little.''
