Chapter 42: Her Escape Route

The soldiers applauded Jyuusan for her bravery, courage, and ability to use her wits while cornered. It was totally unexpected that she could win that match.

''Take back what you said,'' Seiran said in a really scary voice when he finally was able to talk. At that, a cold shiver run down Jyuusan's spine. He had never been so embarrassed before in his whole life. He cannot accept it.

''Ah yeah sorry about that. He he. Everyone, he is a noble man. I just picked the words I said randomly to distract him,'' Jyuusan said cutely.

''Now enough with your cheating. Let's finish this with the sword,'' Seiran challenged. This woman really know how to piss him off that he always loses his cool when she is around.

''I would collapse before you could even hit me with your sword. And if you go all out on me now, I'll be torn into shreds,'' Jyuusan replied to emphasize his strength. She is honestly exhausted after that match, sweat is running down the side of her face. ''And like I said, I was a woman in distress. If that happened in real life and if you really were the sort of person I called you a while ago, then I could have died already or lost my chastity. What I did was a last resort,'' Jyuusan explained in apology.

Suddenly they heard someone laugh. It was Grand General Haku. ''Come on Seiran, give the lady a rest,'' Haku said and patted Jyuusan's back.

Jyuusan felt like she is being spank on the back that the general's praise felt like punishment. ''You watched the match?'' Jyuusan asked and she blushed when the general nodded.

''You are one marvelous woman. If it wouldn't be a waste of your talents I would have taken you as my wife and made you stay at home,'' Gen Haku said.

''Get your hands off my sister!'' Shuuei yelled out of nowhere when he heard what Haku said.

Haku laughed again. ''I never thought I would see you lose that way,'' he said to Seiran, ignoring Shuuei.

''I resign from this post. Take my post Haku daishogun (Grand General),'' Seiran announced. ''I can't take any more of that vile monster's tricks.''

''You can't do that. I'm a busy man,'' Haku replied.

''Then why won't you just marry her instead and shut her somewhere,'' Seiran said harshly.

''I'm not going to let anyone take my sister,'' Shuuei protested.

''Then take my place before I'll kill that devil beside you,'' Seiran warned.

''You have become good Hotaru,'' someone else said before Shuuei could reply. Jyuusan immediately blushed upon hearing that voice.

''Jin! Why are you here? Don't tell me you watched too?'' Jyuusan said in a flustered voice. Jin nodded. Shiba Jin is now the Vice Minister of the Military and he has a lot of work to do for security issues.

Seiran looked at Jin. ''Give my post to someone else.''

''Ask that from the one who gave you that post,'' Jin replied cheerfully. He had just dropped by a little when he heard Jyuusan is fighting.

Ryuuki came out from hiding too and upon seeing him Seiran said, ''Your Majesty, I resign my post to assist that wicked vile monster.''

''You can't do that elder brother. No one else can take the post,'' Ryuuki replied.

Seiran gritted his teeth. Ryuuki is right. ''Then let me kill that woman,'' Seiran said as if in conclusion as he let both of his fists meet.

''Calm down Seiran,'' Gen Haku said. ''A beautiful woman have just rewarded you with a kiss. Be contented with a just a kiss for now.''

''What the heck was that? How did that become a reward,'' Seiran said to Gen Haku with ground teeth. He looked at Jyuusan and said, ''do that again and you'll die.''

''Shuurei-chan help me!'' Jyuusan yelled when she saw Shuurei approaching them and run to her. That instantly shushed Seiran and Jyuusan grinned in victory. She found her escape route.

''What's with the commotion here?'' Shuurei asked. Seiran's eyes widened.

''Oh it's just the usual. Let's go have some tea,'' Jyuusan said to Shuurei. Seiran sighed in relief that Jyuusan did not say what happened. But his eyes widened again when Jyuusan said, ''someone just threatened to kill me.''

''Really? That's cruel! How could they do that to a beautiful woman like you? You should always be careful then,'' Shuurei exclaimed. Seiran was crestfallen. He was called as cruel by Shuurei again. 'I'll make Jyuusan pay,' he thought.

''You looked pumped up. Why won't we have a rematch from long ago,'' Shuuei challenged seeing that Seiran needs something to put his anger on. Ryuuki had nudged him for help.

Seiran smiled at him evilly. ''Fine,'' he quickly accepted. Seiran and Shuuei sparred and everyone watched in awe as two famous generals clashed. Shuurei and Jyuusan stayed to watch. Haku and Jin are suddenly more interested to watch and the lady soldiers saw how strong Seiran really is as he fought with Shuuei without holding back.

No one wanted to lose. Shuuei had vowed not to lose to this person again. He trained so hard to defeat this person. But Seiran will not allow himself to lose either. The two kept on dueling even as sweat dripped from their faces. Ryuuki was relieved when Haku declared it as a draw knowing fully well that the two would not allow themselves to lose.

''See? I told you Gen. Seiran is far stronger than me,'' Jyuusan told the soldiers as she dismissed them. Hearing Jyuusan address him as general for the first time irritated Seiran again. ''Of course Nii-sama is really strong too,'' Jyuusan added when Shuuei glanced at her when she praised Seiran.

Seiran did not sleep that night. He cannot remove what happened that day in his mind. He touched his lips as he remembered the feeling of Jyuusan's lips. It was soft and her kiss was warm. That was his first kiss with her. Then his blood boiled when he remembered that she acted like it was nothing. How could she treat it like it was nothing? He could not believe that Jyuusan could do that. All she had done that day was embarrass him.

He looked up at the ceiling, wide awake. He can still feel her lips on his. Then he recalled something he had seen long ago which he had managed to push to the back of his mind for a long time. The white skin he had seen when he looked up to her tied upside down.

Recalling that now made his mouth water and lick his lips and he forced impure thoughts to leave his mind. It made him even more unable to sleep – the feeling of her kiss and the memory of the white skin of her labia which he had a glance for just a second or two.

In the morning, he went to work looking so scary. Ryuuki had stopped himself from laughing as he realized it was his brother's first time to be kissed full on the lips by a woman. Every free time he got, Seiran looked for Jyuusan for rematch. But for the whole week, she had gone to a camp training with the lady soldiers. No one knew where exactly they went for training.
