~Shelby's POV~
I woke up from the light peeking through my window. I stretched causing me to let out an ugly groan. I sighed and laid over on my back. I moved my hair away from my face. I closed my eyes for another couple seconds, before I suddenly felt pain in my wrist. I groaned and sat up, looking at my wrist. The gauze wasn't as red as it was before, but blood did seep through a bit. A dark feeling crept deep in my gut...regret. I always regret doing what I do the morning after.
I shrugged off the pain, and yanked the covers off of my body. Once the warm covers left my skin, a cool breeze caused me to shiver. I slipped on my purple fuzzy slippers and walked out of my room, not bothering on checking how I looked. I looked down the hallway, empty. I looked ahead and saw Justin's door closed. He is probably getting dressed, I thought as I walked down the stairs. The party mess was cleaned up.
Huh? I don't remember cleaning anything up last night. I shrugged my shoulders to myself, and walked into the kitchen and saw Justin, his back facing me. He was on the phone talking to someone. Curiosity got the best of me and, I took a step back and eavesdropped to see who he was talking to. Yeah, I know curiosity killed the cat, but he sounded upset and frustrated, I wanted to know what was causing him to be like this.
"Trust me, Sel! We aren't anything! I don't even like her, like that!" Justin shouted, yet whispered into the phone. Was he talking about me? Or someone else?
There was a pause, meaning Selena was talking. Justin sighed, looking down running his free hand through his spiked up hair.
"But I don't want to leave her alone. She has gone through a lot, and I don't want her to feel like no one cares." Justin said, with sadness in his voice. Yep, they are talking about me. Another pause, but this one was short.
"I don't know if she would want me to tell you. Selena, I can tell she has a little bit of trust issues, she had trouble telling me everything." Justin whispered into his phone. It's really sweet how Justin didn't go off and tell someone my story, especially someone I'm not close to. Justin was right when he said that I had a little bit of trust issues. Ever since Eddie, I just don't want anyone to come into my life, and I can't trust people I'm not close to. Even though it would be nice to get to know Selena.
I was distracted by my thoughts, when Justin responded again. "Thanks for understanding babe, I got to go. I have to wake up Shelby so we can go to the arena." Justin said, I could tell he was no longer frustrated, which made me smile. Reality hit. He thinks I'm asleep, he can't know I was eavesdropping. I quickly and quietly ran up the stairs, and ran down the hall way to my room. I threw off my slippers and jumped in bed, pulling the covers over me quickly. I started cuddling into the warm blankets, pretending I was asleep.
A couple minutes, later, I heard the door open slowly. I closed my eyes, and listened carefully. "Shelby, I know your not asleep." Justin said chuckling. How did he know? I opened my eyes and turned around to look at him. He was right next to my bed, looking down at me smirking with his hands on his hips.
"How did you know?" I asked sitting up scooting back, so my back was up against the head board. I sat Indian style, so Justin sat in front of me. He was smiling, looking at me.
"You snore in your sleep." Justin chuckled. My eyes widened, as I looked up at him.
"Really?! Oh my gosh that's so embarrassing!" I said covering my face with my hands. Justin started chuckling. "It's not funny!" I whined into my hands.
"I know. I think your snores are cute. They are small though." Justin said grabbing onto my arms, trying to pry my hands away from my face, which I am pretty sure is as red as a fire truck. I let my hands go, but I looked down trying not making eye contact.
