Point of View: Angel Black
Taking a moment to reread the note, I let out a very slow breath before glancing up at the teacher making sure she didn't notice the shifting. But, not to my surprise, she hasn't turned away from the board as she continues to talk. Rolling my eyes slightly, I pick up my pen and scribble on the note it before passing it back to Luke and continuing with my notes. Was that the best idea? Whelp it was too late now. Letting out a slow breath, I rub my forehead as the teacher continues on and the note reappears on my desk. Smirking slightly, I open up the note.
Touché, Angel. Chocolate chip waffles are wonderful.
I smirk at the scribbled hand writing for a moment enjoying the male's humor before stuffing the note into my pocket. Hearing the end of the day bell, I throw my things into my bag and move to leave the classroom with the rest of the class when a hand catches my wrist. Annoyed, I instantly pull my hand out of the touch and spin around the meet the male.
Instantly I meet the large brown round eyes of Luke. Of course, they were brothers. I mean really what did I expect. Tucking my hands into my pockets I wait for him to recover from my sharp reactions. "Mr. B said that North and I should give you a ride to Victor's for the family meeting." His naturally happy eyes have darkened a little at my discomfort but I ignore it.
"Kay." I state glancing around the now empty class room. "I will meet you by the front entrance near the bushes." Before he has time to respond, I duck out of the door and begin to wonder around the school in search of my locker. What don't they get about me not wanting to be seen with them? Rolling my eyes, I finally manage to make my way through the over crowded hallways to my nicely graffitied locker. Smirking at the different writing, I fool around with the combination for a moment before managing to open my locker.
I take my time shuffling through my bag and putting the different books I had gathered from the last class into the small cubby. I wasn't in a rush to get to these two brothers. Especially if the the Principal and Vice Principal were watching. Glancing back down at my bag, my eyes widen as I spot the super thick folder full of paperwork that the secretary had handed me earlier this morning. Closing up my locker, I shrug on my bag and take my phone out of my jean pocket.
Black: Checking in. School has given me a shit load of paperwork to fill out about my family. I will fill out most and send copies over for verification.
Rereading the message, I hit the blue letters Send before tucking the phone back into my pocket and heading down the now empty hallway and out of the building. Scanning the parking lot, I instantly spot a black Jeep to the far right and an unhappy North standing beside it. Ignoring the frown I am thrown, I make my way to the bushes where Luke is waiting. He however, hasn't fucking gotten the message that I can't be seen hanging out with them for he easily stands out like a sore thumb as he leans against the side of the building waiting.
They don't know yet, Black. Keep your shit together. Blackbourne will do the explaining. Approaching Luke's side, he quickly straightens himself when he catches sight of me before leading me to the black jeep and overly grumpy North. Continuing to ignore his obvious dislike of me, I ducking my head down and move to the side of the Jeep. Hearing the click of the lock, I carefully slip into the back seat favoring my chest. Dropping my bag on the floor, I curl up in the corner watching as North takes the wheel and Luke the passenger.
They are silent as they start the car but Luke soon turns in his seat to meet my eyes. "You good?" His eyes are still slightly shaded and I know he is trying to determine if he has done something wrong. Glancing up to meet slightly confused but unhappy brown eyes in the rearview mirror, I nod to Luke and tuck myself farther into the side of the car.
