POV: Angel

With Silas and Dr. Green's help, I manage to make it downstairs to Kota's couch. Exhaustion and shock clearly taking over my body and the boys could tell. Doubling down, Gabriel takes his spot next to me on the couch, his eyes glancing over to me every couple of minutes to double check how I was doing. Victor takes a seat on the floor, his back leaning against the couch and his head brushes against my thigh. Silas sits on the couch across the room focusing on the movie playing on the television. They had stationed themselves around the room. I smirk and slowly close my eyes allowing myself to slowly slip into an exhausted state.

I sleep decently well considering my body was basically beaten to a pulp a day ago. Thankfully, it was Sunday and I had one more day to rest before I would have to go in tomorrow. Fuck high school. No wonder I fucking never attended. Making my way into the kitchen, I begin to glance around when the front door opens and a woman walks in. "Kota are you awa-" She stops her eyes stopping on me as she takes in my bruised form.

Managing a smile, I take a couple of steps back putting distance between the two of us as my eyes roam her body. My eyes falling upon the scrubs that she wears. Fucking shit. No one fucking mentioned that Kota's mom was a doctor. "H-he should be upstairs." I whisper in response as Kota's mom reaches out but instead I stumble into what feels like a wall.

"Mrs. Lee." Nathan states his voice calm as his fingers gently hold my shoulders still.

"Ah Nathan. I was just walking in and I must've startled this young lady." Mrs. Lee states a small smile on her lips but her eyes are filled with worry as her eyes linger on the bruises. She knew something had happened. Fucking hell, all I wanted was to get a drink. I didn't need a second exam any time soon.

"I am alright ma'am." I state giving her a forced smile and glance to Nathan before making my way back to the living room. Forcing a breath, I feel like banging my head against the wall but instead I have two sets of eyes focusing on my movements.

"What?" I grunt unhappily and then I feel the color drain out of me. "She isn't going to let this go is she?" I whisper my eyes flying toward the direction of the kitchen and I begin to panic. God damn it! What the fucking hell was happening to my weekend?

Victor and Gabriel shoot me a worried glance and I suddenly realize that I wasn't going to get out of this house if I didn't leave right now. Patting my jeans down, I grunt finding my phones in place and make a move toward the back doors. Almost instantly Victor and Gabriel are standing when I quickly shake my head. "Nathan's." I state quickly and instantly both calm down as I make my way out the back door as silently as possible.

Walking around the side of the house, my eyes land on a surprised Dr. Green and Mr. Blackbourne exiting from their car "Ms. Black?" Mr. Blackbourne questions and I glance toward the house before pointing toward Nathan's.

"Mrs. Lee arrived home early from her shift." I growl unhappily glancing from Mr. Blackbourne to Dr. Green and both pale and realization. Yeah you fucked up.

"Ms. Black go ahead over to Mr. Griffin's with Sean." Mr. Blackbourne states and I sigh but as soon as I see that front door open, I bolt not giving him another second.

"Owen Blackbourne. Get your butt in this house right now. You better have a good explanation as to why you let that girl bolt out of this house without stopping her." Mrs. Lee states anger clear in her voice but I don't turn back. If they needed me they knew where to find me.

Rushing to the back of Nathan's yard, I let out heavy pants and make my way to the sliding door. Pulling it open, I hold my side trying to control the pain radiating from my sides when I am met with the sight of a large man standing in the center of the kitchen. Confusion begins to set in when more panic arrises. Fucking hell.

POV: Mr. Blackbourne

Holding up my hands, I enter into the Lee's my eyes glancing around to find the rest of the team sitting in the living room. Their eyes wild with worry and confusion about what was going on. Taking a breath, I let them know it is already as Sean comes around me. When Mrs. Lee wanted something there was no stopping her. Angel was correct to run. The problem was what do we tell her now. Glancing to Kota his eyes shimmer with pain.

Nodding to Dr. Green he takes his place by the back door, getting ready to leave in order to check on Ms. Black when Mrs. Lee storms in anger and concern clear in her eyes. "Sean Green you sit your butt down right this minute and tell me why you let that girl run out that door even though it was clear she was not okay."

"Mrs. Lee, please allow me to-" Mrs. Lee raises her hand shaking her head before turning to Kota looking to him. Sighing, I leaned against the door not surprised that she turns to Kota. "Dakota Lee tell me right now what is going on."

"Mom remember when she came by the first time. I told you that she was helping us on a mission and we were helping her." Kota states and his mother's eyes narrow. This was getting into dangerous territory. Thankfully he had left out the bit about school.

"Dakota Lee you are not about to tell me that girl is being abused and that is what you are helping her with. It is clear by the way she held herself she is in pain." Mrs. Lee practically growls and Kota's eyes widen in shock.

"No Ma'am." Victor speaks up. "She was protecting me." Almost instantly Mrs. Lee freezes and her eyes turn from cold to confused. Stepping forward, I try to interject but Mrs. Lee only shoots me a glare not wanting me to interrupt.

"But hunny, Kota said that your father was gone for a while?" She questions her eyes concerned and Victor looks down ashamed.

"He returned a couple of nights ago." He whispers his voice very low and I grit my teeth not wanting to see my brother have to explain when the sound of glass braking sends us spinning toward the doorway.

Grabbing the door, we all rush outside to find a scene that I never thought to be possible. Hearing the rush of footsteps, my brothers crowd around me taking in the sight as well. About five feet away in the next yard, right in front of the pool, Angel stands in glass, blood slipping down her exposed arms and legs. Her black hair is wildly spread out on her shoulders some of it sticking to blood that was slipping down her back but what has everyone startled the most is the man that she stares at anger clearly seen in her eyes.  Nathan's father, Mr. Griffin lays on the ground unconscious.

"Does any one else have a fucking asshole of a father."
