Carefully climbing into the car, pain bubbles in my stomach but I am too exhausted to care. Leaning back against the head rest, I listen as the door beside me opens. Slowly opening my eyes, I glance to Dr. Green whose eyes are studying me intensely. Letting out a small breath, I nod to him and he quickly gets in gear and backs out of the driveway.
Victor had wanted to come when he learned where we were headed. But I quickly states that he was needed here to set up a game plan with Blackbourne about his father and the future plans that needed to be made. He looked like I stepped on his puppy but thankfully Sang came to my rescue and I was able to sneak into the car.
The car ride is silent as we make our way to the hospital. I keep my eyes closed but I can feel my nerves begin to kick in with every second that passes. Feeling the soft vibration of my phone, I carefully pull it out of my pocket and glance down to look at it.
Axel: Where are you? We need to talk about Brandon and Raven.
Of course he would want to talk now. Of all times, I glance to Dr. Green who seems focused on the road . Taking a slow breath, I tuck my head down and quickly type out a message before curling up in my seat.
Keeping my breathing as smooth as possible, I pry open my eyes as Sean pulls up to the front of the hospital. Letting out a small groan, I don't wait for the male to come to my door. Throwing it open, I slide out of the car but the pain that rushes up my spine causes me to basically fall out of the car and into Sean's arms.
"Woah!" He whispers as I take heavy breaths to gather myself the pain washing over my senses.
About to pull away, I feel a familiar hand rest on my hip and guide me down into a wheel chair. "Never a graceful entrance." I manage a small smirk before forcing my eyes closed focusing on my breathing. That sly Roberts. Always testing.
Feeling the chair move, I pried open my eyes watching as I was wheeled down the empty hallway and into a private room. "Do you-" Green began but Roberts quickly cut him off.
"Never ask Sean. She will always say no." I glare slightly at Roberts who ignores me and lifts me up and onto the exam table. Fucking Doctors. The pain from the movement however quickly flairs and I let out a weak grunt. Closing my eyes, I focus on my breathing my body trembling slightly.
"Angel." Roberts whispers and a hand is placed on my forehead.
"Im good Doc. Let's get this over with." I whisper glancing to Roberts for only a moment before glancing to Green. I do my best not to tense but I am sure it is clear. I am uncomfortable with him being here especially since I am in pain. The male looks confused and I gently nudge Roberts not having the strength to explain.
The doc seems to get what I mean and he quickly turns to Green. But instead of explaining his words startle me. "I'm going to have you do the exam." Feeling my breathing pick up, I quickly glance to Dr. Green who looks just as surprised and begins to protest.
"Phil she isn't comfortable with me." Dr Green begins but Dr. Roberts just shakes his head.
"Angel doesn't do well with doctors so it will be good for her to get comfortable around another. I was hoping it would happen naturally but I can see it hasn't." Instantly, I think of my urge to flee the others touch. Pain in the ass.
Forcing a slow breath, I glance to Green who looks shocked. "Its never been anything personal. Just don't like doctors." I whisper and Roberts rolls his eyes slightly before helping me into a sitting position.
Dr. Green steps forward and gently helps me remove my sweatshirt and tank top. Doing my best not to look, I watch Dr. Green move about the room gathering different supplies. Roberts stays close and I glance to him.
His eyes flicker over me and he frowns. "How much sleep have you gotten?" He whispers and I turn away.
"Little to none." I whisper and Dr. Green's hand suddenly touches my shoulder making me flinch away. Trying again, Dr. Green moves slower this time and guides me back to a laying position.
Letting out a weak breath, I struggle to stay still as Dr. Green examines my stomach and sides. Dr. Roberts guides him through some parts but by the end I am panting and dizzy.
"Angel?" Dr. Green's voice is soft and his hand carefully touches my neck causing me to flinch once more. But I can't open my eyes. I can feel my breathing becoming ragged as I force myself to sit up. Hand rush to help but I push them away.
Before I can manage any words though, the door bangs open. Trembling, I peal open my eyes to find a panting Axel and a more than furious Raven. Closing my eyes, I pitch forward a little and my raw skin hits warm skin as I tumble into thick arms.
"Little crow, what has happened to you?"
