POV: Angel
Forcing out harsh breaths, I glance to the line of boys and Ms. Lee who have rushed out onto the Griffin's lawn. All look shocked except for Nathan who just looks down right pissed off. Yeah I was a little to fucking tired to be pissed off at the moment.
The man had given me a run from my money. After spotting me in his kitchen not only had he accused me of being a hooker he had forced me up against the table and began to grope me. The fucking bastard deserved to go through the fucking glass sliding doors, what I fucking didn't expect was for him to pull me along with him. I was going to make sure there wasn't going to be next time but the commotion had attracted not only all of the Blackbourne team but also Ms. Lee who stood shell shocked and pale. Shit this wasn't going to go well.
Unable to cover up the damage that had already been done, I started to move from my spot on the lawn when Nathan quickly approached. I look to the unconscious male on the ground prepared to defend my actions when his hand gently cups my chin and forces me to turn revealing the disgusting red hickies and soon to be bruises on my neck from his father's previous actions in the house. Damn if Nathan knew without even asking it was clear this happened before. "Fuck." He swore loudly breaking everyone out what ever trance they were in.
"Nate don't move her." Dr. Green warns stepping forward his eyes in contact with my own making me realize that once again I would need another exam. Why the fuck did this always have to happen to me? Ms. Lee however had yet to realize that I was avoiding her and began to rush over.
"Don't." Dr. Green quickly states in unison with some of the other boys but it is Nathan that holds me still as he steps in front of me. Clearly confused, I watch as Ms. Lee recoil and then react with outrage when Kota steps in to explain.
"Mom she...." His voice trails off trying to explain it with the correct wording but I quickly speak up saving him from the trouble.
"I can't fucking stand doctors." I state looking toward her. "No offense Ma'am but it took Doc here a good fucking hour to get me to agree to even be looked at yesterday." Mr. Blackbourne frowns at my language but nods as Ms. Lee spins to look at him for confirmation. Turning back to me pain is clearly painted on her face and I glance away feeling bad. It wasn't her fucking fault but that wouldn't help her feel better or me.
With Ms. Lee's disappointment clear, everyone seems to start moving at once. Doc moves toward me along with Sang, Gabriel and North. Silas and Luke move toward Nathan's Father, Kota guides his mother back, and Mr. Blackbourne begins to dial someone about the whole ordeal. Stepping out of the way, Nathan joins Victor who both follow the Lee's back to their house.
"Angel?" Doc questions and I look toward the male who slowly approaches while North, Sang, and Gabriel stop short of the glass. Did Nathan walk over the glass and I not even realize it? My mind begins to race.
"How do you want to do this Doc?" I question glancing around me. "I am covered in glass and there is even more on the ground around me. Best thing I can think of is strip and then put my clothes down and walk on top of them. That however won't help the fact that I think I have some glass in my feet." I state glancing down at my bloody socks. Why the hell hadn't I put on shoes before running over here?
Doc frowns glancing to me and then down at the ground and then back to me but it is North that moves. "No fucking way. I have shoes on. Let me lift you up and I will carry you into the house. The last fucking thing we need is for you to be unable to walk. We are supposed to be fucking protecting you as well don't fucking forget." Instantly I freeze surprised by his words and I slowly nod. His logic did make sense and I would rather save Doc the trouble of holding me down to remove the glass if it went further into my feet.
"She will need to strip incase she has more glass on her." Doc states and my eyes instantly move to Sang whose eyes are wide. I also spot North looking to her for guidance.
"As long as Angel is comfortable with it. Do it." She states quietly as she processes the information looking to North. "We don't need either of you hurt.... any more than you are now." She explains.
Letting out a slow breath, I slowly lean over and begin to pull off my shirt before unbuttoning my pants and slipping those down my legs. I can feel some glass scraping against my skin but I ignore it before looking to North whose eyes seem to light with anger and pain. "Fucking hell Angel." He whispers his eyes roaming my body.
"North!" Sang, Doc, and Gabe shout but the shock has already hit me like a brick wall. I take a slow breath trying to keep myself calm. Hearing the crunching of glass, North moves to me but the sound stops causing me to look up. This time his eyes are full of pain with no anger. He doesn't know where to put his hands without causing me pain.
Seeing that look, instantly I feel my heart deflate. Weak. I was fucking weak. How the fuck was I supposed to preform my own mission if I was so fucking weak? I should have been able to handle Nathan's dad and Victor's dad without so much damage. I was loosing my fucking edge.
Too lost in my own thoughts, I flinch as a hand touches my lower back before it quickly withdraws. "Angel?" I look up to North but this time it is his turn to flinch in surprise. Little drops of salty liquid began to roll uncontrollably out of my eyes and down my cheeks.
