"Mr. Morgan," Mr. Blackbourne draws the male's attention from me. "She is aware of what he is capable of." There is another moment of silence and Mr. Blackbourne sighs running his fingers through his hair and I recognize the tell. He is stressed. My eyes move around the table studying their reactions to everything.
"I am willing and I will obey." The girl's voice rings out in the air clearly her eyes meeting mine.
"Sang!" The one with reddish hair calls out surprised. Nathan Griffin.
My eyes narrow on the girl watching her. "There was a reason why she was sent here, Honey." Sang states glancing to Nathan before looking to me. "Not only for Victor's protection but also because she is in the same position as me." Her eyes roam over my body slowly and I shift slightly unsure what to say or if to say anything at all. "I want," she pauses her eyes clear with interest. "No, I need to know what it is like as a ghost bird in the Academy."
Those green eyes make me feel as though they can see right through me and I have to force myself to take a few calm breaths in order to keep myself in check. She was so curious to learn about my world.
"This is how it is going to work." Mr. Blackbourne states drawing me out of my head and back to his steal grey eyes. "Miss. Black is placed in Ashley Waters in an undercover position. As you probably saw today, she is in a few of your classes and did not reveal herself to you as soon as she walked in." Mr. Blackbourne's eyes sweep the room watching everyone's reactions. "She will not interact with any of you on campus and she will maintain her cover until we are able to finish up our job here or her court date arrives. Please do your best not to interact with her but if circumstances arise make sure to handle it professionally and without issues." His eyes linger on both North and Gabriel for a moment before he continues.
"Her handler will be myself and Dr. Roberts from the hospital." I notice Dr. Green's eyes widen in surprise and I assume he recognizes the Doc's name. "She will be attending family meetings that we have and will also be residing here at the Morgan house. She has been hired by the Academy as a bodyguard for Mr. Morgan Jr. in protection from Mr. Morgan Sr. She has already been provided with details of what has occurred in the past and will be provided with both of Mr. Morgans' schedules along with the house lay out and anything else she may need." My eyes flicker over to Victor whose eyes are burning with worry and fear as he glances from me to Mr. Blackbourne and back.
"Further more, Miss. Sorenson and Miss. Black will be provided with some time together for both training and mentoring purposes." Mr. Blackbourne states his eyes focused on Sang but my eyes dart to the other male's who become obviously tense.
"I will not fucking allow Trouble to be tossed around like a punching bag with this fucking gothic chick." Gabriel barks and I glance to Mr. Blackbourne who frowns. "We don't fucking know her and I don't trust her with Trouble." My eyes then dart to North who is also standing.
"I fucking agree. Sang baby shouldn't have to be mentored. We can protect her just fine by ourselves." His eyes narrow at me.
"She already has Mr. Taylor." Mr. Blackbourne interjects meeting North's eyes easily. "No one was able to get to Sang earlier today and Miss. Black happened to be in the area." Mr. Blackbourne looks to Sang who offers the male her hand which he accepts and squeezes. "We can't be with her every single second but Miss. Black provides us with one step closer." I glance back to North whose eyes are wide with shock and he quickly meets my eyes daring me to say something but I don't have to because Kota steps in.
"I think it's a good idea." He states glancing toward me before glancing toward Sang. I watch him cautiously and notice how he holds a presence in the room. "Sang has always been interested in the Academy. Before she joins she should know what would be asked of her. It shouldn't matter what we think. Sang has to make a decision for herself." He glances to his brothers before looking at me. "I am sure if the Academy has recommended Miss. Black then we should at least listen to their advice."
The giant sitting next to North nods his head silently in agreement as Kota speaks. "I agree. She has already saved Angelle Mou once and prevented her from getting hurt when we couldn't get to her." He states and glances to Sang meeting her eyes. "And Sang seems to be clearly interested."
Mr. Blackbourne lets out a slight breath and glances to Dr. Green who has been strangely quiet through most of the conversation. These two have a deeper bond. Shifting slightly, Dr. Green meets my eyes. "What do you have to say Miss. Black? Honestly."
Surprised, I pause for a moment and glance to Mr. Blackbourne before looking back to Dr. Green. "Honestly. I think your communication fucking sucks." The air stills and some eyes widen in surprise including Mr. Blackbourne's. "I don't work in teams for this reason but you guys all found each other for some reason and you call each other family. Trust isn't something that can be developed instantly." I glance to North whose eyes widen in surprise. "I wouldn't trust me. You don't fucking know me. But I fucking know I am good at my job." I look to Victor whose eyes widen. "I am very fucking good at it. And when I accept a job I don't back down. Doesn't matter what position I am put in." Glancing at Sang, "This was my choice to be brought here. I had heard about a ghost and I am glad I came. Doesn't matter what you say about me. I am here to stay.
A smile graces Dr. Green's lips and he nods glancing around to the others and then to Blackbourne. "Sounds like the decision has been made."
