Pov: Doctor Sean Green

The sharp intake of breath pulls me from the wonderland in side of my head and causes me to open my eyes. What had our beautiful bird done this time to stun the boys? Smiling to myself, I stretch a little the sun feeling incredible on my body but my curiosity is too great as I ponder what could draw that sharp of breath out of my brothers. Allowing my eyes to flutter open, I glance to Kota but am surprised to not find lust in his eyes but pure shock.

Sitting up quickly, I search for the source, instantly going into doctor mode, when I spot the pale, thin, scarred legs of a female standing besides me and my mind begins to catch up. Angel. Quickly doing a once over of the scars lining her ankles, I quickly travel up her body and land on her tattoos. Taking a sharp breath, I realize what my brothers had spotted as she disrobed. Beautiful intricate roses cover her shoulders in dazzling reds and greens which almost take away from the slight bruising that is healing on her muscular stomach.

This girl was the perfect definition of unique. Watching as the girl strutted toward the edge of the pool with a slight nod from Owen, I nearly fly out of my seat when I spot her back. Crows. Not a single one but at least twenty seem to soar across the small of her back and dive into the folds of the rose on her right shoulder. Oh boy Gabriel was definitely going to be hard to control once he got the name of the artist.

Keeping a close watch as Angel joined the others in the pool, I move from my chair and join Owen and North by the grill. The pavement burns the bottom of my feet slightly but it keeps my thoughts grounded. "Wasn't expecting that one Owen?" I question poking at my friend for his surprised look that I caught earlier.

Owen stays silent, which only makes my eyebrows rise. The well calculated and strategic Owen Blackbourne didn't know about this girl's tattoos? Did that mean...?

"He didn't give you a file on her did he?" I question watching my friend carefully for traces of his real feelings. Watching as the wall came crashing down on Owen's facial features, I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"What?!" North growls lowly under his breath trying to read what is going on between me and Owen but I can't help the smile forming on my lips giving away the answer. Turning, Owen shoots a look to North instantly forcing him to zip his mouth.

"The higher ups said that it would be better if I got to know her without having her file." He states picking each word carefully as he slips his spatula under the burgers on the grill. "If all of us got to know her." He corrected glancing to North whose eyes widen in shock.

"What the fuck did he want us to learn? That she is really a loud mouthed demon?" North states grabbing a plate and handing it to Owen. Shaking my head, I sit down at the picnic table that has been set.

Glancing back to the pool, I follow the curves of the spit fire Angel who landed in our laps. Was she from heaven or hell, that was the question. My vote was both. But why? Why had the Academy sent this girl to us specifically? Was it because she didn't hold back her words? Or was it for a different reason?

"Food." Owen calls out and instantly my eyes shoot over to the black haired demon making her way back to her clothing. Watching her pull on her clothing, hiding the beautiful artwork from sight once more, I feel an elbow jab into my side pulling me from my thoughts.

Meeting Nathan's eyes, I can see the warning shimmering in his eyes but I know he doesn't understand. It isn't lust that I feel. Something about those tattoos. They were different. Grabbing for some food, I do my best to distract myself and listen to the others talk about their classes in Ashley Waters.

"Did you do your homework?" Sang questions talking with Silas about their last biology lab. I smirk as Silas's face turns into surprise, probably having forgotten about the homework when suddenly a string of swear words erupt from Gabriel's mouth drawing my attention back toward the bird.

"Mr. Coleman." Mr. Blackbourne warns trying to keep up his teacher appearance and stick to character in order to impress the bird but it doesn't even look as though she cares.

"Sorry, Mr. B. I forgot about my history homework. Sang reminded me when she was talking to Silas about it and I have a feeling that Mr. Jameston isn't going to be so kind about it." Gabriel states pushing his hair out of his face as he takes a large bite of his sandwich.

Smirking, I take the second to thank the higher beings of the world that I was assigned to be a teacher when my attention is refocused upon Angel. The girl was being quiet as she ate her hamburger when my eyes focus on something ridged creating a slight dent on her tank top. Couldn't be her bathing suit strap, since the shape is round... Oh shit.

That was the reason why her tattoos looked so different, it wasn't the coloring, it was the fact that in some places they were three dimensional. The tattoos weren't there for decoration they were there to hide the obvious pain that had been caused before.

Just what did this bird have to tell us?
