POV: Angle Black
Glancing back to the guard station, I give a little wave before starting my jog back to the mansion. I follow the driveway staying off to the side as my head wonders to what the security guard had whispered. So my first opinion of Mrs. Morgan was true and it seemed as though others new it but were unable to say anything about it. A mother who didn't care. Sounds familiar.
Smirking, I quickly slow my pace when I spot a car coming down the driveway. The town car quickly pulls to a stop in front of me and I do my best not to roll my eyes as the window rolls down. Speak of the devil and she will appear. Meeting those cold brown eyes, I force a smile.
"Victor leaves in two hours for school." She states as she pulls out a very expensive looking watch to double check waving her perfectly done nails in my face. "He is usually up in an hour and then picked up by a large oaf with dark brown hair named Silas Korba. His family is sketchy so be on the look out for strange behavior. His brother is on drugs and murdered his mother so make sure that Victor keeps a safe distance. Don't let them know what you are there for though. Be careful not to slip up." Throughout the entire time she is speaking a terrible smile doesn't leave her lips.
"Yes, ma'am." I state and she nods giving me a once over before straightening in her seat as the car takes her down the road. Turning back around so that she can't hear me swear at her stuck up bitch attitude.
Making my way into the mansion, I duck into the guest bathroom and wash down quickly before making my way into my little attic bedroom and pull on some fresh clothing. Checking my laptop, I quickly flick through the different faces in the house before setting up different alerts to my black phone. Pulling out the team phone, I quickly open the calendar and begin to study the different patterns to the schedules.
Seemed as though there were meetings every week dependent upon what was occurring throughout the team's lives. Victor on top of meetings then has outings that he is required to attend. Others seem as though he doesn't have to go but seeing as they were put in by his mother it will probably require a fight. Then he has additional jobs from the Academy to complete. It is a wonder that this boy ever sleeps.
Flicking through the other's schedules, I spot movement from Victor's room and decide that breakfast is probably a good idea. Pulling on tight black skinny jeans, a black tank top, and then my large baggy sweatshirt before jumping down the rabbit hole.
I am about halfway through a grilled cheese when the Greek oaf walks through the door. Instantly his eyes widen at me hunched over the beautifully done counter top with all of the expensive decor around me with a paper towel. "Mornin." I mumble through bites of grilled cheese and a small smile appears on his lips.
"Good morning, Vic up?" Silas asks taking a seat beside me.
"I saw movement earlier but all I have seen this morning is the Monster Mother." I state pushing down most of the terrible words I want to share with another bite of grilled cheese.
"I'm up." A soft voice calls and I turn finding a nicely put together young male with a white button down shirt and dark wash jeans. Smiling, I nod to the extra grilled cheese I made and his eyes widen with surprise as he moves to take a seat. "So the plan for today, Angel, is school, Kota's, family dinner outing, and then home." His eyes meet mine for a moment before he picks up the grilled cheese and begins to eat.
"Sounds good." I respond picking up my plate and my napkin before making my way to sink and pull up my sleeves. "Anything I should know walking into Ashley Waters?" I question as I turn on the water and begin to wash the pans that I dirtied.
"Keep your head down if possible." Victor states and I can feel his eyes glued to my every movement.
"Don't interact with Mr. Hendricks or Mr. McCoy if you can avoid it. Both are diestramménous." Silas states struggling a little with the translation.
"Perverts.... Good to know." I whisper under my breath as I finish washing up the pans before drying my hands. "Anything else?"
"Not that I can think of. Thanks for breakfast though. We should get going." Nodding, I follow Victor and Silas to the car interested to see what is going to happen next.
"So what did the Monster say to you this morning?"
