[40] - growing up
you ever feel so old, but you're only a teenager?
J.
justin. justin never felt like he grew up, seeing that he had been feeling the same way since he was young. he knew he grew physically, but not mentally and socially.
but, maybe with some help, he would. . .
: :"so, jeffrey, what do you have to say?" linda looked to her husband, as they all sat upon season's couches in the living room. the married couple sat on one couch, while season sat on the other couch. her eyes on her father's face. if she was getting an apology, she wanted to real one.
jeffrey sighed through his mouth, his eyes watching as he rubbed his hands together. it was quiet, the other two women waiting for him to speak his apologizes to his daughter.
jeffrey didn't look at linda, putting his eyes on his daughter before he began to speak. "season, dear, i am very sorry for how i judge your boyfriend," jeffrey didn't know how to word it, so he didn't hurt her feelings for the boy. he didn't want her to freak out again, and kick him out.
before speaking, season searched her father's face. he looked like he could've been sorry for what he did, so she'd accept it. "i accept your apology, but you should be apologizing to justin," season said, remembering that all her father's words were targeting justin not her.
"i thought he'd be here, since it seems that you two are stuck at the hip," linda winked at season, a small hint of a smile on her face. she watched when season looked down, a blush rising on her face. "we aren't joined at the hip," season said, the giggle arising in her.
it did seem that they were joined at the hip, after they both apologized to each other. but, it didn't seem like justin had any problems with that. and, season knew she didn't. they loved each other.
"trust me, it's fine," linda started, "when me and your father met, we were just the same," linda laughed, her hand reaching up to pat her husband on the shoulder. "isn't that right, jeffrey?" linda asked him. but, he wasn't listening to their conversation.
"uh, yeah," jeffrey spoke, his eyes darting from his daughter to his wife. season and linda could both see that something else was invading his mind, but no one asked what it was about. he looked almost panicked.
"jeffrey, are you okay?" linda asked, her face immediately turning into one of concern for her husband. season almost went over to her father, remembering how justin acted when he felt hurt. she didn't want him spiraling out of control.
"i-i'm fine," jeffrey spoke, before he tried to cover it up with a cough. it was too bad that linda saw right through it. she could see the tears forming in his dark eyes a mile away. "jeffrey?" linda asked again, but his attention wasn't on her. it was on his daughter.
"season. . .i can't handle it," at first season didn't understand, seeing that her father just apologized, but now he said that he couldn't handle it. "what?" season asked, the confusion flooding her voice. jeffrey reached over and grabbed his daughter's hand into his.
"my baby is growing up," jeffrey sniffed, as a smile made it's way upon his face. upon hearing his sentence, linda awed quietly, watching the interaction between the two. "oh, dad," season giggled, before she moved to embrace her father, lovingly.
