liam: “hey louis, take a picture of me and this elephant!” liam calls to his band mate admiring a giraffe. they had a few days off in san diego, california before they had their next tour so niall suggested they visit the sand diego zoo. “sure mate,” louis replies walking over to him. “smile!” he cheers when he’s holding liam’s phone in his hands. he snaps the picture of liam kissing the elephant’s ear before seeing a text pop up on the screen. “you got a text,” louis notifies. “oh what’s it say?” liam asks as he traces patterns on the elephant’s leather-like skin. “it’s from uh, (y/n), she said, ‘damn liam i miss you so much i just want to kiss yo—‘,” louis is unable to finish reading when liam tackles him for his phone. “ooh, liam who is (y/n)?” zayn teases. liam’s cheeks burn as the boys continue to tease him. once he’s got his phone back, he sighs and decides to tell the boys. “(y/n) and i have been seeing each other for about 2 months… she’s really great.” the boys can tell how much you mean to him by liam’s radiating smile when he talks about you. “you could’ve told us mate,” niall replies, sounding almost hurt. “when can we meet her?” pushes harry.

niall: “niall, man, have you seen my phone?” harry asks, searching through the dirty clothes in his own bunk. when he doesn’t reply, harry turns around to face a distressed niall pulling at his blonde locks. “something wrong?” he questions with worrisome. he’s never seen niall upset like this before, he’d always been carefree, mr. happy. niall cleared his throat and straightened his posture, faking a smile, “all’s good, thanks though.” “niall, you know you can talk to me,” harry sits down next to him. “rahhhh!” a scream suddenly echoes the two’s ears. with that, louis, liam, and zayn have joined the narry duo in the bunk section of their tour bus. “whoa, did we interrupt something?” jokes louis. “niall, you alright?” zayn chimes in. letting out a sigh, niall tells the boys, “you see i’m missing an important thing with this girl…” “what girl?” liam and harry immediately retort. “i’ve sort of been… seeing her for a while. tonight’s our one month anniversary,” he explains. the four other boys exchange a glance and immediately know what they’re going to do. somehow, they convince the security that they’re not feeling up to this event and turn the vehicle around and drop off niall at your flat just in time for him to take you to dinner.

zayn: you walk into milkshake city with a friend discussing the bipolar weather that seemed to be going on outside. glancing away from the menu, you catch eyes with your boyfriend across the room. “za—,” you start to say, but lower your hand, remembering you couldn’t speak to him in public. a frown replaces your smile as you return your attention to the cashier and order a milkshake. “shit, i think a fan just spotted us,” louis grumbles. zayn shifts in his chair uncomfortably, swirling his straw, mixing the contents in his drink. “she sure is fit,” purrs liam. hearing this, zayn’s jaw tenses and fists clench. he tells himself liam doesn’t know any better, that you’re his girl, but when liam goes to make a move, zayn has to intrude. “stop!” he yells as liam strides halfway across the building. liam’s brows knit together in confusion and zayn beckons for him to go back. “what the hell, man?” liam whisper-shouts. “i’ve got to tell you all something…,” zayn rubs his temples as the boys scoot closer together, “that girl over there her names (y/n), we’ve actually been dating um, under the radar.” the boys gasp as zayn gestures for you to come over. he gives you a kiss and introduces you to the boys properly.

harry: “why are fans asking me who ‘(y/n)’ is? i don’t know a (y/n), do you know what they’re talking about lads?” zayn scrolls through his twitter interactions with a confused expression painted on his face. harry stays quiet, fiddling with his curls and avoiding the topic. “nothing comes to mind,” liam says after pondering for a while. zayn decides to search her on twitter, immediately finding a valid account for you. only a second into scrolling through her tweets, he finds what he’s looking for. “harry, you’ve tweeted this girl quite a few times,” he notices. “erm, yeah,” harry replies uneasily. “quite flirty if you ask me,” adds niall who is peeking over zayn’s shoulder. “no?” harry says, unknowing what to reply. “is there something going on between you and (y/n)?” zayn asks straightforward, done with hinting around it. harry is taken aback, but mumbles, “well, yeah…we’ve been on a few dates, like for a month or so.” “you’ve been hiding this from us for a month?” louis’s eyes widen. normally, he was the keeper of harry’s secrets, the one the cheshire boy confided in. “nothiding, we just wanted it to be between us for a while, you know?” harry explains. the boys nod, understanding where he’s coming from.

louis: “oh my god! that feels so weird, ahhhh!” the boys hear in the hallway outside louis’s flat. they shoot each other a questioning look, then chant, “louis is getting lucky!” along with a string of whistles and hollers. the noises stop as the boys burst into the room, not expecting to see you and louis fully clothed on the couch in the middle of a tickle fight. your cheeks burn as you withdraw your hands from louis’s torso. “oh, um, y-you’re early,” louis stutters. “not by much,” says liam glancing at his watch. “aren’t you going to introduce us to your lady-friend?” niall teases. louis is right there blushing with you when he awkwardly says, “boys, this is (y/n). (y/n), this is the boys.” “hi,” you say shyly. “are you guys dating?” niall asks. everyone laughs at how blunt he was. “yeah,” louis answers smiling. “lou, no more keeping secrets!” zayn whines. “it all happened so fast,” louis explains. they nod and invite you to the studio they were on their way to, overflowing you with questions about yourself and the relationship the whole way there.
