'It'll be fine.' She told herself. 'Those girls won't hurt me.' She was on her way to the host club when she bumped into someone. 'I'm going to die!'
"Mae?" The recognizable voice made her relieved.
"Akane." She smiled as she got up off the floor. "Um I was wondering you haven't heard talk of people planning to hurt me have you?"
Akane looked confused. "No, are there people-"
"It's nothing, thanks." She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
"Where are you going?"
"Host club."
"Oh really." Akane smiled. "I have to show you something first it's really funny. I bet you'll laugh. And maybe cheer you up." Her grin never faded.
Mae hadn't let herself be alone all day and stayed clear of everyone. "Okay." She sighed.
"Great!" She clapped her hands together. "It's this way." She pointed her index to a strange door Mae didn't even knew existed. Mae followed behind till she felt something pull her in the door closing behind her. The loud sound of the door being shut rung in her ears.
"Akane!" Mae yelled out but only heard a laugh.
Mae looked to see the girls from lunch all standing there. "W-what's happening?" Maes eyes shook inside her head.
"We warned you." A short blonde huffed with her hands on her hips.
"T-the letters. I only g-got them yesterday." Mae get her heart beat quicken.
"What a liar." Akane tutted her voice sounding cold and hard to Mae.
"Your-your voice." Her bottom lip quivered.
"Oh you mean." She paused and gulped a bit. "Hi my names Akane we're going to be best friends!" She used the old familiar peppy voice. "Yeah I was faking." All the girls behind her started laughing.
"Why?" Mae felt tears threatening her eyes.
"So I could get close to Haruhi and the host club. But then you got too close yourself." Akane growled at her.
Mae closed her eyes tight. It was all to familiar. Friends betrayal and mocking faces. "What are you going to do?"
"Well for now we're going to have some fun." Akane snapped her fingers making the girls come toward Mae. They all slapped her hard once before heading behind Akane again. "It'll get a lot worse if you continue hanging out with the hosts." The posse walked out the door but Akane stopped and walked back to Mae. "I'm the one that kept the letters from you." She whispered.
Maes head hung low. Her face was throbbing and the small amount of self esteem she had was slowly fading as Akane handed her another load of letters. "Bye bye Mae." She flipped her hair and walked out.
'A slap isn't too bad right?' She tried to be positive. 'At least they didn't punch me.' Mae sighed and dusted herself off. 'Should I stay away from the host club?' She began leaning her head against the wall. 'What do I do?'
"Mae?" Mori appeared in the doorway and Honey not too far.
"Uh hi!" She smiled. "I fell and didn't want anyone to see this bruise." She pointed up to her red cheeks. "Better get to the host club!" She mentally cursed at herself. She knew she shouldn't be going to the host club. "Um second thought I-a-i gotta go shopping. Yeah shopping! Big sale wouldn't want to miss!" She ran off quickly not giving either a chance to ask her anything.

"Haru-chan we just saw Mae-chan." Honey pouted. "She isn't coming today. I think she hit her head pretty hard." Mori nodded in response.
"Head?" Haruhi questioned as she set a tea set down.
"Her cheek was all red. She said she fell."
Haruhi thought for a second. "That is odd. She must have had soda."
"She was acting funny." Honey nodded.
"Uhnm." Mori nodded and grunted.
"I'll check on her when I get back." The doors opened.

Mae pretty much ran home. Once the doors were closed she let her tear fall. She glanced over at her mothers picture. "P-please w-watch out for me." She prayed through her tears. 'I can't tell Haru. She'll only make things worse.'
Mae curled up on her bed hugging her stuffed elephant. She fell asleep with tears falling down her face. 'So much for Akane.' Was her last thought. She was in for more trouble the next day.
