Chapter 75- Is Love Spreading?

"So this is your elementary year book?" Haruhi looked down at the book set between Mae and Takeshi.

"It looks familiar." Mae nodded as she inspected the book along with her sister.

"Yeah?" Takeshi muttered. "My class pictures the fourth page."

Mae flipped through the book and the teach reminded her...wait...her and her sister's eyes widened....it was their old elementary teacher!  "Take-" Maes mind began to spin slightly. "Eshi Kuze." She muttered mindlessly.

Haruhi heard the name and it clicked. "You went to the same elementary as us?!"

Takeshi looked at the two then back and forth then his own eyes bugged out and his face became a bright red. He snatched the book quick and examined he picture. A girl with long brown hair stood next to a girl with light strawberry brown hair, both looked different from the two before him but...wouldn't that mean Haruhi was a-a girl?!

Mae didn't move as Takeshi became breathlessly freaking out over the differences. Her mind began to travel and it found the door it was looking.

Flashback-

"Baka Mae..." the little boy smirked at the cowering Mae. "He doesn't like you." The boy who had terrorized her while elementary school years seemed to become clearly defined...his name was

"Eshi go yell at Mae she keeps looking over here." A girl had pouted to him.

Mae looked around helplessly. "I-I'm Sorry!" She cried out with tears.

"Mae can't you see no one here likes stupid cry babies." He snickered as the class began to crowd around Mae and laugh. Of course there were a few in the back area that just looked away cowersly. Eshi Kuze was the class bully he was cool and everyone thought he was funny when he teased Mae.

"Leave her alone." A sigh came like it always had.

"Mae hasn't eaten her mud pie yet." Eshi crossed his arms.

Mae was a mess, her hair was filthy and her eyes were wet from tears. Her cute knee high socks were now dirty. "Mae needs to get home." Haruhi glared at the boy and collected her sister with care. "Are you okay Mae?" She whispered.

"Always need your sister don't you?!" He yelled after them.

Mae sniffled. "...I wanna go home Hura nee." She sniffled again and clung to her sister's arm.

Present-

Maes blinked and stared her eyebrows furrowing. "Y-your Eshi Kuze."

Takeshi stopped his question of Haruhi to the other hosts and looked at Mae. He cringed slightly. "Yeah."

None of the hosts knew what this meant except Haruhi.

Mae clenched her eyes closed and he seemed to expect the tears. But then, "You've certainly changed for the better." She shook her head slightly. "Well I'll admit," she began walking around. "This certainly will make it easier to find the girl you like. And I most certainly can understand you were mean."

He awkwardly smiled at her. "Hey, I'm sorry Mae..."

As the two began to talk all the hosts appeared behind Haruhi. "How does he know you secret now?" Kaoru whispered.

"We apparently went to elementary together." Haruhi huffed.

"Why did Mae zone out?" A surprising question from Nekozawa.
