shoutout to jaysus_2 for inspiring this with their book 50 Things Oikawa Tooru Should Not Do.

'Dear Aliens, if I ever make it out of this alive, I swear I will continue to believe in you for as long as I live.'

Oikawa had crappy luck, shitty luck, today was a mistake and he should have stayed home today. Currently, he was hiding behind a large potted tree in the mall; however, his pursuer would catch on soon enough. For some reason Ushijima was being rather persistent, and somehow his fire hadn't burned out after nearly three hours of chasing Oikawa.

Earlier That Morning (9:12)

It was your average weekend outing, two friends going to the mall together. Well, it was more of Oikawa showing up at Iwaizumi's house at eight in the morning and not only charming his way into having breakfast at the Iwaizumi household, but going to far as to spewing some bogus about how he and Iwaizumi had planned to go out today.

Iwaizumi was planning on ditching the nuisance as soon as he was out of his neighborhood, however, the self-acclaimed 'pretty setter' gripped his wrist with bone-crushing strength and forcibly dragged him down the street.

Until a wonderful stroke of luck bestowed itself on the team mother of the Aoba Josai Volleyball Club. Almost like a blessing sent from the holy mother herself, he appeared. Ushijima Wakatoshi bumbled through the mall for several moments before laying eyes on Oikawa.

It was almost like a fire was lit in his eyes, and the stagnant air in the shopping center turned to a preying, and somewhat menacing aura. Oikawa, much like a small rodent, felt the piercing stare of the Shiratorizawa student. He let out a squeak and quickly scurried away, completely abandoning any current engagements or commitments.

Iwaizumi snapped a couple of pictures, for blackmail purposes, of course, and made his way to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion.

urrent Time (13:04)

Oikawa knew his chance of escape was out of the question, he barely was evading the giant as it stood. He was getting tired, and he considered giving up in that moment. He let out a growl of frustration. He had never thought so hard in his entire life. Fighting Ushiwaka on the court, where there were rules and boundaries was one thing; but battling off the court, he couldn't help but feel vulnerable.

A cold chill ran down his spine and he turned around to see a pair of eyes on level with his. The massive man had crouched down directly behind him. With the most serious face and deadpan voice ever to be seen and heard, he spoke: You should've come to Shiratorizawa.

--

Oikawa jolted upwards, taking shallow, rushed, breathes. His heart was pounding and he was panicking. 'It was just a dream, just a dream.'  He tried to reason with his newly-awakened subconscious. 'A really bad, really scary, terrifying, awful, traumatic, nightmare.'

The setter wiped his face on his tee-shirt and kicked the blanket off of his futon. Checking the time on his phone in a frenzy, letting out a ragged sigh of relief. 'Seven-forty-five.'  He dropped his phone back in it's place and his arms and head hung limp, he chuckled inwardly.

'Maybe I should get some rest and skip it today.'

that was fun to write.
