Coming for You
What little natural light there was began to fade rapidly, almost at an unnaturally fast pace. Then their focused snapped to an older generation of a streetlight, the dull florescent bulb flickered intermittently before casting it's dingy beam of illumination onto the flooding concrete.
A signal from their sixth sense alarmed the boys with sweaty palms, unsteady heartbeats, and chills that they were definitely not alone. Hesitantly, they shared a glance with each other and then they spotted him out of the corner of their eyes.
A lone beast, a titan, a colossus, behemoth, a silhouette of a man spied on them from the canopy of a black umbrella. His shoulders were so wide, he looked cramped and his body was contorted in a way that made even those merely watching him cringe in discomfort.
He walked with slow, determined steps. His passionless face, his dull, olive eyes, and an atmosphere about him devoid of empathy.
They recognize him and the man comes to a halt only a few meters away from the quartet. Without a sound, as if the noises from the city were muted by a universal remote, he pointed straight at the brunet man attempting to shield his tousled waves from the precipitation. All time stopped, the raindrops seemed to cease their motion and each one of the men held their breaths.
"You should have come to Shiratorizawa."
