Chapter 5

Ivy, Scarlet, Rin and I have decided that I should go to the meeting.  I but on the outfit I had laid on my bed earlier in the week.  I sit in the tree above were we are supposed to meet.  Because it doesn’t say to come alone I have Summer and Scarlet in different trees close by just in case.  I see a few people emerge from the trees.  They look around.  I drop down from my tree.

“Kelly you came” The tall blond says opening his arms for a hug.

“What do you want?” I ask.

“We wish to help you child” he says.

“How?  I have no idea who you are” I say crossing my arms over my chest. 

“I am Co…Conal leader of the Dark Sky Clan this is my Beta Joey” Conal says pointing at the short kid beside him. “We are here to offer you our Clan’s assistance with your problem”

“Why would we need your help?” I say defensively.

“You showed up.  That’s all the proof we need” Joey says.

“We have a challenge for you” Conal says.

“I don’t need your help” I repeat.

“You say that now, but I hear that the humans are planning a war” Joey says. 

“Your assassin can’t hold them off for long.  We’ll be here in two weeks to give you time to re-consider” Conal says.  They both Shift and run off.  I noticed that Conal’s a black and silver wolf.  I turn as my friends drop from the trees. 

“He sounds like a dick” Summer says.  I look at Scarlet and see her face flash with shock before returning to its original hardness. 

“Let’s head back” I say.  Scarlet and I Shift and Summer starts running.  I glance at Scarlet’s black wolf and then at my white paws.  I sigh and run faster trying to get away from the memories of what just happened. 

When we got back Scarlet disappeared towards the library and Summer went into the basement.  I trudge up the stairs and hide into my room.  I lock the door and flop onto my bed.  I hear a ringing and sit up.  I grab the phone and click it on.  I hear Peters voice on the other end.  I barely manage to make out what he’s saying.  I suddenly drop the phone and start running.  I ran out of the house and across the village.  I burst through the door to the doctor’s office. 

“He’s in here” the receptionist says leading me to a small room in the back.  I walk into the room and greet Peter. 

“You got here fast” he says. 

“I guess I did, didn’t I?  Well what’s up?” I say.

“He’s stable and awake but he won’t tell me anything other than his name and that he needs to talk with you” Peter explains.

“Take me to him” I command.  Peter opens the door behind him reviling a white room with a bed and two chairs.  The blond male is sitting up in the bed.  He immediately noticed me enter the room and his head jerked up.

“Empress” he says bowing his head.

“Why have you come here?” I snap.

“I am Seth and I’m here to give you information” he says.

“Peter, may we speak in privet?” I ask.  He nods and leaves to room.  “What is your intention?”

“I am here to help your Clan” he says.

“Why?”

“Because I have seen what they are doing to you” Seth says.

“I don’t need your help” I say crossing my arms.
