Chapter 21

Recap: "Well it looks as if the rolls have been reversed"he says lifting his foot. I scream as he brings it down on my left hand causing me to let go. I scramble to get ahold again as he raises his foot over the other hand. I close my eyes in defeat a d wait for him to crush my hand and send me plummeting to my death. But it doesn't come. I open my eyes and look up and he's not there. I pull myself up a little more so my elbows are now on the edge. I gasp in horror at what I see going on.

I watch as Seth snaps Colum's left leg. I cringe as I watch the blood pours out around the two wrestling. I hear Colum's screams ring out across the flat surface mimicking my own. Seth's head snaps towards me. He punches Colum in the face one last time before rushing over to me.

"Are you okay?" he asks quickly.

"Yeah I'm just hanging around you know the usual" I say sarcastically. He reaches down and pulls me up by my underarms and sets me down on the soft grass. I lie down and close my eyes.

"I can feel him running now" I say curling up "Go kill him"

"No" Seth says "you need to, now come on" Seth picks me up and I reluctantly stand.

"Where are we going?" I ask as he starts walking me in the opposite direction that the trail of blood leads.

"Home so you can get ready for battle" he says "they started a war at the village but Scarlet managed to take lead and got everyone organized and we won" Seth explains in a soft voice.

"I can't walk" I say falling to the ground. I hear a growl and a cry. I look up to see Seth's wolf looking back at me. He nudges me towards his back. I lie on him and burry my face in his soft fur. I feel his muscles move under his back fur as we slip into the darkening forest.

"Is she alright?" I hear someone ask as a warm hand touches my arm. I jerk up and scan around looking for danger. I look out the window and it's now dark. Summer, Scarlet and Ivy are all crowding around me as I lay on the couch.

"What happened?" I ask.

"We were about to ask you the same thing!" Ivy says laughing.

"They attacked after you ran off" Summer says "I wanted to go after you but I thought you heard the call too and were already on your way back here"

"I was the one who made a call for help" I say.

"It sounded like it came from home so we went there. If you hadn't of called though we wouldn't have known about the attack" Scarlet says.

"We need to go" I say sitting up.

"Oh no you don't" I hear Ivy say as she tries to pull me back down.

"I was almost killed again tonight!" I yell "we gather the Clan and tomorrow morning we go to war" I say as I stand up and walk out of the room. I walk up the stairs and down the hall to my study. I pull out my map from it's hiding spot beside the book case. I unroll it on my desk and stare at it in awe. Someone has messed with it. Blue marker now covers most of my red marker I had used.

"Don't be upset" I hear Scarlet's voice come from the doorway "we used it to save you" she points to a large circle off to the top left side of the map.

"Is this where I was?" I ask.

"We were" Scarlet corrects.

"Then that's where we strike first!" I say.
