Chapter 11

Kelly

I open my heavy eyelids.  I glance around the spinning room. ‘Where am I?’ I wonder.  Suddenly I’m caught in a rush of memories, the cliff, the humans, Colum hitting me and holding my down, then nothing.  I try opening my eyes again.  This time I see blurry shapes and grey everywhere. 

“Your awake” I hear a familiar voice says.  It seems to be coming from the dark shape across from me.  My vision finally clears up enough for me to make out that the person is a male and also in shackles.  Other than that it’s still all grey. 

“So?’ I say slurring my word slightly. 

“You’ve only been out for an hour at most, when they brought me it I was out for days” the person says.  I still can’t make out why they are so familiar.

“It’s just the sedative they used it’s probably different” I say. 

“They use liquid silver.  I got way less then you did” he says.

“Who are you?” I ask giving up.

“Vincent, don’t you remember me?” he says slyly.  I growl. “Growling while they’re here is only going to get you a beating” he says.  Suddenly the ladder drops to from the ceiling.  I close my eyes and cast Spirit.  I project my soul out of my body as quietly as I can.  I shoot out of the little barred window.  I float as high as I can as fast as I can.  I search for the aura.  There!  I plunge towards it and force myself inside the body.  I see Ivy and Summer standing there.

Scarlet

I feel something slip inside of me.  Like a ghost or something. 

“Ugh if Kelly were here she would use some element of hers and watch the memories” I say sadly. 

“Oh but I am here, now shh no time to explain I have something to show you” Kelly’s voice says inside my head.  I picture myself grabbing hold of her ghost hand and leaving my body.  I let out a scream as my body collapses.  Suddenly I’m sucked into Kelly’s body.  I watch as Colum walks down the ladder.  I want to growl and rip out his throat but I know I can’t, I don’t have control over this body. 

“Well you're awake, this early?  I made sure to give you a lethal dose of silver, yet you wake up only an hour after we sedated you” he says.

“I knew you tried to kill me, you’ve been trying ever since I set foot in this horrid country” Kelly says venomously. 

“Calm down or he’s going to beat you and the first few are the worst” I say to her.  He walks over to us and hits her.

“Actually yes I did, originally I was going to kill you during your first change” he says smugly. “But I decided to let you live so that your whore of a mother could see what she was missing in her life before I ripped it out of her grasp again”

“Y-You were th-there?” Kelly asks shakily “I knew I wasn’t alone but I never could have thought it was you.  Thank you for letting me live” she says bowing her head sadly.  Damn she’s a good actress.

“I don’t need your thanks I want the one thing you have left.  Your wolf” He says “Now that I finally have one of the chosen ones I can do what I was destined to do, take your wolf for my own” he starts to laugh. 

“What do you mean?” she asks looking at him with a puppy dog face.

“I’m going to kill you and take your wolf along with your powers, when your sister was here we were almost finished when she just disappeared all it was going to take was killing her mate and since she hadn’t found him at that time we sent a substitute and if you hadn’t meddled I would have gotten what I wanted!” he yells the last part and smacks her again.  “She was so close to death when we found her wondering our territory so we took her in and tried the process again we trained her and her wolf so she would be stronger and I would have more power but I underestimated her and a stupid slipup by that piece of trash over there and she got free.  We sent ten men after her and she killed them all and disappeared.  We searched for her for years until she showed up in the area again as your assassin” A wave of terror hit’s me.  I want to cry but I don’t have my body right now. “I decided it was time to try and take down the stronger one.  We started to target you and your friends foiled my first attempt and your stupid mate almost killed me the second time but I managed to win.  I have you and will kill you slowly.  You will be kept fed and exercised during your stay.  And don’t worry yours won’t be as long of a stay and Arura’s was, you’re already so strong and have all of your powers.  Sometimes I wonder why we didn’t take you to start with.  Oh well we have you now and I must be off” he says with a smirk.  He climbs the ladder and it disappears and a hatch closes.
