Talking Behind Backs

Beth's POV

So we just walked away from those boys. Man does the little one have a good force. He about knocked my tooth out, but he didn't. I walked behind the girls with Kenzie, I am rubbing my eye. It's black and swollen now, but I can handle it. I was born to be out here, some of those boys are just plain old annoying. The one that Kaylee calls Sunny boy must be the worst of them of all, my opinion.

We got down and alley way with a street light lighting it up. There was a dumpster, boxes and junk down the alley. Broken glass, nails and broken wood you name it down here. Good thing we all wore shoes, most of us don't as it is. I sat on the very top of the stack of boxes made out of wood. Kenzie and Kaylee joined me as well. Sidney, Beca and Alex sat on the dumpster all together and of course Camille sat alone on the ground. She's never really the one to sit or be with others no more ever since her stupid old meanie brat of a boyfriend dumped her. I find Camille the greatest of them all. Pretty, cute, tough, can be a bad girl, smart and lot more.

I took out my blade and found a piece of wood. I put the wood on my lap and decided to carve my name into the wood. I am a great artist, I am known all over New York for my works, manliy police. I looked over at Sidney who has her blade out and she's sharpening it with a piece of glass. Beca and Alex are talking about karate moves and football positons. Kenzie is walking around looking for junk, like glass, wood, nails and all that junk stuff. Kaylee found a broken crate of wood. The mood she is in is a good one.  Her attitude is awesome since Sunny boy got her in a mood. She'll say things that can be crazy too at times, maybe now is one of those times. With the crate she took out her blade and a cig. She lit the cig and smoked and she gave one to Sidney, Rebecca and Alexia too. I will have mine later with Camille maybe. She placed the crate on the ground and threw her blade at it, she also took Beca, Alex and Camille's blade to have more blades to use and shoot.

Soda's POV

Man were those girls something. I can't seem to figure out if they're greasers like us or socs like Bob and Randy. But Steve here made one of them hate him that's for sure. Johnny doesn't look too good, that girl have him a beating alright. I am pretty sure he is scared of those girls or that one for a long while.

We all walked the back to the house. The girls all left and some of us stood there confused and dumbfounded. Ponyboy beat up the little one pretty good and he said he'd never beat a girl. He broke that promise. Dal's girl he was fighting was pretty good too, she gave him a bruise on his jaw line.

"Man, were they tough and tuff" Dally said as he smoked.

"Didn't you start the fight by flirting with one of them?" Two-bit asked. We all turned to Dally, of course he probably started it.

"I did, but blondie told me to stay away from her friends" Dally said. We walked up to an alley way where we heard noises. We stood at the end but didn't go down the alley way. Sure enough all those girls are here. One has several blades and is throwing them at a crate. One is on the ground and she's watching the girl throwing the blades. One has a blade and wooden board. Looks like she carving into it or just has the wood for fun. Blondie is smoking and is sharpening her blade. Blondie number two and her friend are talking to one another, they look like twins though.

"Man does Sunny boy annoy me. Even more then Camille's shitty boyfriend" Sassy pants said. Guess we're all giving out nick names for them. Theses girls are different then most of them out there. Theses girls are very tough and can beat anyone, they're all pretty and cute. They all carry blades and some of them smoke.

"He sure does or even Blondie. He was flirting with Alexia" Blondie said. Man was this good to watch and listen to. They don't even know were here.

"My eye hurts Sid. Can we steal some things" The girl that Ponyboy beat up asked her friend.

"Did he hit you that bad? I mean your father did you beat even worse" Blondie said. So blondie's name is Sid.

"No, I just wanna leave this alley way. C'mon we gotta find a way home."

"You girls wanna leave or stay here?"  Blondie asked.

"Nah, Sunny boy didn't get a good enough beating. But after that we leave. There is no sick clothes around here. Plus this place is so 60's. They don't even have cell phones yet!" Sassy pants said. The girl on the ground got up and went over to Sassy pants. She tapped her shoulder and showed her something on some lit up box. Sassy pants nodded and the girl sat back down leaning against the wall.

Sassy pants turned around and threw the blade right in front of us at Steve. We all backed away and then Sassy pants walked up to us.

"I believe your spying on the wrong girls Dreamer boy and Sunny boy" She said. Dreamer boy? Is that suppose to be me?!

"Who said we were spying. We were walking by here to go to our house" Two-bit said.

"Then beat it or next time I get ya" She said and we all left. We walked backed to the house and sat on the couches or floor. Darry took his chair as usual. I sat next to Pony and Steve. Johnny, Dal and Two sat on the other couch. Two turned on Mickey mouse again.

"What the hell is a cell phone?!" Pony asked us all.

"Does it look like we know kid?" Dal asked making a good point. Theses girls are from the future or something. Because cell phones don't exist yet or no one round here even know what they are. I got up and went to mine and Pony's room. I have work tomorrow and it's late. I walked into our room and got in bed. I was still able to hear the guys talking about those girls. I closed my eyes and fell asleep in the dark room alone.

Camille's POV

Man are those boys something, coming up and spying on us. No one knew they were here, I knew they were here since they stepped foot outside the alley way and listened to the girls talk about them. I wanted those guys to hear what was being said bout them. They anyway, some of the names we gave them are silly but suit them. There's Dreamer Boy, Sunny Boy, Muscles and I think that is it. Wait no there's Blondie too. He was kinda scary, he acted like Sidney a lot too.

"Let's go to the lot over there and crash" Sidney said. We all nodded and got up. Sidney left the alley first leading the way and carrying Kenzie. She fell asleep on the pile of boxes, she was even asleep when those boys came. Rebecca and Alexia talked about some weird things, making jokes and making us all laugh.

We got to the lot or field and we sat down near a couple trees. I sat next to Kaylee and we leaned against the side of the tree. The twins took a tree, the younger two slept anywhere and or means they slept in the wide open area but still close to us. Sidney told Kaylee to give us all back our blades. So she did, handed me mine first. My is a switchblade and has my name engraved on it. It's painted with nice colors and designs by the one and only Beth. I thanked her and it gave her something to do. She tossed the twins their blades and laid down in the grass next to me.

"When do we go home?" Rebecca asked.

"I don't know girls." Sidney said. I fell asleep before I could hear the rest of conversation. The grass kept me cool, it was cold and felt a little good. Other then the sticks jabbing into my back I was fine.
